Campaign: The Tidecallers
Quest title: The Tidecallers: "Wavehelm Keep"
Author: Echx
In-game handle: @Ech
Quest type: Story-driven Investigation-style quest.
Recommended party size: Solo
Duration: 15-20 minutes
Quest Code: NW-DCU584W5M
Current Version: 1.1

Synopsis:

You suddenly felt parched, dehydrated even. The flask was all at once there. Present in the exact place you needed it to be. The water in the flask was cool and refreshing. As the liquid passes through your insides, you feel completely nourished. The cold trickle can be felt as it finds its way through your various tubes and whatnots. Then... the world was dark.

The ocean you wake up in, is somehow only knee high and as you stand and the water beneath you somehow solidifies into a travers-able form. You almost failed to notice the massive and looming presence of the castle before you. A castle in the middle of an ocean that allows you to walk on its surface. This day just keeps getting stranger.

From the Author:

Hello Neverwinter, I'm Ech!

First of all, thank you all for taking the time to at least look over my little thread here on the Foundry forums. And thank you even more if you have played my adventure. It's my first project and honestly the idea came from simply HAMSTER around with the Foundry toolset and placing a castle in the middle of an ocean. After that the story came.

In the future I will be working with my writer friend to put together more maps, but I am actually pretty proud of how The Tidecallers quest came out. And I am looking forward to making it better in its next version. You can check the bottom of this post out for my current projected patch notes for the newest version.

But as with anything like this, everything is based on the people who play it. How it evolves from here on out is all up to those of you who play it and review it. So while I am eager to find and squash any bugs there are, I am also just as eager to hear about what you guys think of the quest in terms of how fun it was, what you think could be better, and so forth. If nothing else, what I learn and fix on this quest will make my next maps that much better.

So thank you again ahead of time for any and all feedback. And especially for simply taking the time.

If you play it, be sure to leave a review - version 1 is for all intents and purposes a beta. It's the first version of my very first quest, after all and depending on what people say will change my plans for version 1.1 :)

Also: Updated the post with a new section.

    Update 1.1:
    • You can now enter quest from correct door in Protector's Enclave.
    • Removed "Tour" portion of quest to streamline experience and make it less repetitive.
    • The problem with the quest stalling out after exiting the Mysterious house near the end of the quest is now fixed and you should be able to go to the final part of the quest with no issue.
    • Fixed "Tideguard Sedin's" dialog.
