X BOX Controller

So I read somewhere that we could use a controller, but I looked all over the interface to set it up. Is anybody else actually using a controller and if so could I get you to tell me where the setup is for it in game?

I haven't seen any options ingame to do this, so it would mean you would need to use external software to get this done, but I would avoid this as depending on what kind of anti cheating software they run, it would detect that software has been a bot or some kind of cheat and end up banning the game.

However can you confirm for me a to what you would want to use a controller to play this?

Well I do remember reading that you would be able to use a controller for Neverwinter. Someone had posted a setup that they were using on the Beta weekends.

The main reason I would like to use a controller is that my wrists get quite sore after only playing for an hour. I have a Naga mouse and a Nostramo that I really liked to use in the past for other online games, but now my wrists start to ache quite badly while playing.

sucks that they havent reimplemented controller support so close to OBT.

Thanks thevlaka. Yes it is unfortunate that it is not currently in the game. Again I looked all over the interface to try and find something about using a controller. Maybe they will add it soon, but at this point I doubt it.

use a program called Xpadder it simulates keys on your keyboard to a controller so you can play ANYTHING with a controller

I can see how that would be confusing but it is

"not just xbox controllers"

meaning that it is not exclusive to xbox controllers. ALL controlers CAN be used.

Sweet! Does anyone have a "game profile" for Neverwinter for xpadder, or is it all ADHOC?

Been playing PvP with a controller landing in the top 5 most games, has not hurt my standings (wiz/cleric). because this is an action game and carpal tunnel is an issue a controller is the only way I can game these days.

Nevermind.

I took a GW2 profile and modified it for Neverwinter, specifically for my Great Weapons fighter:) I have to say, it is pretty flawless; it is like being on a console:)

I wish I had did some research 1st before wasting my money on Xpadder or any other software for controllers .Neverwinter and from what I have been reading many other game this will just not work, It not Xpadder It will configure fine, the problem is once you are in the game screen the control will not transfer over to the game they just stop, running it in admin make no difference. So as of 9/21/2014 no one seem to have a fix , it is as if these game are blocking this by design. If you notice all the video of it working are 2013 so they did something from that time to now to stop controllers from working .If you have a ask please share with us
