unless u get another rank 30 pet the panther will be best for the grind to 60 assuming you started with it, otherwise ur stuck with the rank 15 crappy pets or one from the store which costs tons of money... honestly the dps of TR/CW is so high u dont need a pet at all... at least not for grinding lvls...
What is democrazy? It is a government in which the ruling power is given to whoever is most skillful at directing the herd instincts of the largest masses of their most ignorant citizens.

Cat ... then there is CAT then there is ummm ... the CAT .... cat gives 100% of the stats you put on it to you and doesn't die in combat ... for end game ... it is the cat ... leveling the most fun pet I have had is the Acolyte of Kelemvor ... it grants a 10% damage shield and 10% lifesteal based on your stat and the pet stat ... so put dark runestones on her and items that have lifesteal then stack lifesteal on your rogue ... lvl 40 I was rocking 1500+ lifesteal ... somewhat amusing for leveling ... everything except the cat and the Ioun stones gets 1 shot in epic dungeons ...
After Glymm82's post I'm thinking about stacking dark runes on the Acolyte I don't yet have.
But prior to that, I am finding the cleric (when they're alive) to be my most useful companion. While the cat stays alive most the time, the cleric makes sure that I stay alive!

a few threads on here about TR pets and most actually recommend the cat for it's bonuses or the acolyte for his life steal buff.
