Portals in ceiling

my portals alway end up in ceiling, how do i fix this?

    Check the Y coordinate? I'm guessing you mean a teleporter? Place a normal item in the same room as your portal, manipulate it in 3D edit mode to where you want the portal to be, and save the changes. Then go back into the 2D editor and manually change the coordinates of the portal to match that of the item.

    I was doing that with my map Agent, and for whatever reason sometimes when ever I changed stuff with a portal half the time it just vanished. I was doing a room with 4 portals, and I gave up after an hour of messing with the third portal. Any time I moved it AT ALL it just vanished.

    check very carefully the number values in the Y, some times numbers will be hidden and the wrong value can throw it way off, I had this happen to me when attempting to place a respawn point, I didn't realize that the Y value had a "-" in front of it.

    I checked and rechecked, even deleted the portals and re-placed them, they just would not show up half the time, and any time they did, when I tried to move them so they weren't 40 feet up, they vanished. Even moving it down 3 feet, just gone.

    Are you using an interior or exterior map?

    I experience this problem when my entry and exit portals are on different elevations. The portal just clips right through the ground or ceiling
