Does it get harder?

I am a level 21 CW and have not died once. I just mow through content. I have the Cleric companion and my trusty panther. I alternate between the two based on who is training. In both cases I never get close to dying. Does it get harder? I want to fear death when playing.

Somewhat, especially since you were using an overpowered weapon for the first 20 or so levels.

But as a control wizard, surviving is kind of your specialty.

Yes it gets more difficult. There is a foundry quest, I can't remember the name. "somethingcreep crypt" It says it is very difficult to solo in the description. Try it, it will kill you a few times.

Yea I did a foundry mission over the weekend that was very hard but a lot of fun. Can't recall the name now but took place in a bar being attacked by pirates (and lots of them).

21 is practically still the tutorial :) At level 30 you get access to your Paragon Path, and the game opens up in a lot of ways.

Honestly, with the Founder's stuff, I'm not having any issues with leveling. I enjoy this, because it's a bit of a "perk" for Founders that doesn't really affect game balance. Especially as I've seen the level 1-30 content no less than 15 times during testing.

It gets much more difficult. Once I got to the 40s, there were more monsters coming at you at the same time, all with varying tactics. If found myself having to use more potions. Once I got to the 50s, if I missed timing of a dodge roll, I was probably going to die. Once I got to 60, the groups were too powerful me to solo with ease. At 60, fighting a mindflayer champion, two mindflayer guards, and 4 zerglings took a lot of kiting and potions. It felt good to win, but was costly and tiring. With a group, I would not have had much a problem.

At level 60, all of the lower level dungeons become open to you as "EPIC" dungeons. The lower level EPIC dungeons are not that difficult. The higher difficulty ones require better gear and precise timing. Most guards will kill you in green gear in about 3 hits. You'll get maybe 10 hits from zerglings.

The big difference between NWO and GW2 is that there is quite a bit to do once you hit 60. If they can keep adding 60+ content/gear teirs, I think that NWO will be successful.

How can you die in a game where yuo can chug a heal pot every 12 seconds?!?!

Exactly, you are proving my point. Has anyone actually died while in PVE?

By getting pounded more in damage than you have in hitpoints in 11 seconds or less.

At your level, I had not realized potions have a cooldown. By the early to mid 40s, I started to realize how long 12 seconds can sometimes be.

not really, i soloed chaos tower at level 16 (got me to level 18 lol) because i couldn't get a group. wanted to see how far i would get, ended up finishing it. took me about an hour but man was it fun. that was about the hardest it was for me all the way to 60 didn't die once.

mind you as others have said, healing pots can be popped way to fast, and founders getting a full heal item with 200 charges is pretty OP as well (1-60 and i still had 58 charges left on it and i used it a fair bit lol)

hopefully epic dungeons are a bit more of a challenge.

If you used a full heal item 142 times I'd say you found the game quite challenging.

not really was just lazy and didn't want to wait to heal. i used it lots since i had 5 of them already (brought them up with zen before realizing how long 200 charges actually last) that was 1-60 btw. i pretty much used it over pots most of the time lol
