Is the dialogue the same as in NeverWinter Nights 1 & 2?

Hey guys. Just a quick question regarding dialogue options during conversations with NPCs. One of the things I really liked about NeverWinter Nights 1 and 2 was howmuch freedom the game gave you in terms of roleplaying. You could be the stereotypical goodie-two-shoes hero in one playthrough, or a smart mouthed a*shole in the second :p. Is this still the same in NeverWinter?

Thanks alot :).

    Greetings, vendican!

From what I have played, it is not so much Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 style conversations as much as it is, 'May I have more information on this subject?' or 'I will take that quest.' I am only level nine currently, however, and it may change as the game progresses. Please, do not be put out by this: I can guarantee that Foundry content (that being, user-made missions and campaigns) certainly do have Neverwinter Nights-style conversations, with opportunities to role-play your character dialogue and with branching paths.

I hope that helped answer your question!

Yeah, there's no conversation forking in the main content. You're scripted responses to the NPCs are, well, scripted.

On the other hand, you can be as snarky as you want to real live people. Seems likes an okay trade off.

Thanks for the information, guys. I was hoping for it to be more like NWN, but I guess it's not that much of a deal breaker ;).
