so i've been playing it a little yesterday and a bit today, and i figured i'd share a few opinions on the game, and see what everyone else thinks.
good:
- the home page. love being able to just pick a bunch of things to do, i've hardly touched the main quests due to popping in and out of foundry and skirmishes. which brings me to...
- the foundry. works better than i expected to! i've done a few different ones (two of them twice!) and i honestly think the quality's good. one of them was so well done i didn't realise i was doing a foundry dungeon, thought i was doing the main quest. if anything they seem to be better than levelling than doing the main quests, assuming you choose the shorter ones.
- female dwarves look awesome.
bad:
- combat isn't as actiony as i hoped. i love the amount of spells you have, and they all look so flashy (at least from a control wiz pov), but i hate how they root you on the spot to do them. i really was hoping you could be a little more mobile, such as in GW2.
- the armour is boring. maybe i'm still too low level, but every single piece looks the same.
- all the combat animations are fluid n' flashy, so why are the walking/running ones so bad?
- often combat is made clumsy by mobs getting stuck in walls and doors.
- really needs a fast travel (or flight path) system. it's already tedious to run from one side of the enclave to the other.
- why so many different currencies? there's gold/silver/copper, zen, AD, unrefined AD, trade bars and i'm guessing more strange bounty things to hoard.
overall i do like it. it's still in beta-kind-of-maybe-release mode and i realise some things can change, but i do hope some of my bad ones will get worked on. if there was any way they could remove the root when you use an ability, i think i'd enjoy the combat a lot more. but the foundry is this game's biggest strength, and i hope great things will come from it.

- Agreed, I wish there were more variation in armor.
- I didn't think I would miss a fast travel system so badly!

The control wizard, (and maybe the cleric) is/are the only classes that root you to the ground during combat. If you want to do more moving just try a different class.

why would u need fast travel in a game where you can press menu and queue to all the stuff u mentioned.
Then you dont even need to run from city to city, just run around in one city and instance into other areas.
You have a mount also to get around the already small(compared to open world mmos) areas.

All of the classes root you in place, it is unforunitly how combat was designed in the game. It's annoying, but you get used to it, it just gives the game a 2001 feeling instead of a fun mobile and more exciting 2013 feeling.

Gotta love the mounts, man.
Yeah they can only get accessed at level 20 and up, but when you get there you will appreciate it! I promise.
As others mentioned there's also great shortcuts such as queuing which limits a lot of walking, too.
In any case great list you got there.
I'll put a short perspective on a few of the bad though:
- I'm not a huge fan of the rooting myself but it was added to keep things a bit more balanced. I'd love to see more movement opened up but this does put a certain challenge to the game. I'd just like to be able to take a step between attack animations and I would be happy.
- I believe items appearances will be expanded a bit in time but remember this should be a big part of the payments. The game is free and you don't need to look good in order to enjoy a game.
- I hear this complaint a lot and I don't see it personally. At all really.
- More currencies means less spam-bots. Simply put there are too many currencies to make selling currencies effective.
These are my own opinions based on my own experiences in the game and from various sources. This is by no means coming from the company directly.

yeah, can't wait for my mount, just a few more levels! i think my request for warp points is only really for protector's enclave, that's a bit annoying to run around but that's just me being lazy.
i see the combat-root is a dividing line for some players! i'm not a fan but it's not gamebreaking for me. if i need to kite backwards a little i can just blink and use one of my control powers then blink again. it feels slightly jarring due to GW2 being my other played game right now. but you can't really compare one to another without looking crazy.
all in all i am enjoying the game, i hope it does well.
The fact attacks root you to the ground while you're using it is intentional - the game engine's perfectly capable of letting you use attacks while moving, as Champions Online and Star Trek Online (to a lesser extent) demonstrate. They could have done it otherwise, they chose not to on purpose. It's not like this is a technical oversight.
Personally, I like that choice, because I feel combat in some other MMOs feels too...'floaty', like there's no solidity, substance or power to my attacks.
