Whipe after this beta

Will there be a character whipe after this beta? When does the beta end?

Is this a pre-release? I read release date 30th april.

Why is there no information about the release on the website?

    It's not a beta, there will be no wipe, there is information all over the website.

    Actually this IS a beta. However there won't be any wipes.

    It's not. People don't pay $200 to play a beta.

    This has been confirmed as others have mentioned for a while now. The game is now in open beta and also considered as a soft launch. There is no wiping from this point on-wards!

    Enjoy the game, when you are able to enter.

    Ok, Cryptic and Perfect world are being a bit cute. The 'official release' is the open beta. In effect they plan on keeping it in open beta until they are happy with it then officially go live. Because of that the open beta characters are not going to be wiped.

    This is typical of f2p games, calling head-start open beta... so as every other poster has said, no wipes.

    This way they effectively get two release dates to hype up. The April 30th soft launch and then sometime in the future a 'proper' launch. It's a pretty smart marketing ploy IMO.
