Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere; a search yielded nothing.

With open beta about to start, I was trying to come up with a reasonably authentic name for my Drow and came across this excellent resource:

It allows you to create both first names and surnames and gives their meanings. Not having read Salvatore's works yet, I now finally know what Drizzt Do'Urden means. :cool:

    As much as I think it'd be a good idea... I much prefer making up my own names, it's so much more fun and creative.

    Having said that however, those who're not so good at thinking of names would find that very useful

    I don't believe it's a matter of not being creative so much as wanting to be more "authentic". But thanks for your input.

    I meant no offense. Authenticity is always nice, especially for RP purposes
