cat actually gave recovery, critical, power and armor penetration depending on what did i equip to it, not just critical and recovery. (howver with no runestones or equip attached it only gives recovery and critical but it's a negligible 15 points each).
15 points each? You're right, that is negligible. That's a truly bizarre cost they have associated with the pet, then. Since any pet can have runestones or equipment attached. How is that better (in any way) to the basic, white, cleric pet that heals you? I genuinely can't see how it would be.

The cat gave 100% of equipped gear/rune stats to the player, and also gains crit and recovery on each rank up. It is a non combat pet, with possibly the best pet effect in the game.
This. Dunno about you, but I'm stacking the hell out of crit, I'm hoping to be 34%+ by the time I'm 60 and geared
I'm going half-elf and adding to Str/Wis for crit, dp building, and power last. Str and Wis will get equal billing except maybe (not sure yet) 1 extra con in there since clerics are squishy. The healing portion of the build will center around crit splash aoe (in tier 3) and feats that improve dp gain and support the powers I use. Divine Power is the real healer so refilling that as fast as possible is important. The final feat that adds another pip to the DP meter is my favorite of the 3.
I've tried a few Charisma recovery builds that didn't work so well. They might be more viable if you have a top tier pet, but it just doesn't seem solid.
So far Str gives a far better return than Cha in my opinion.

Do you know if the Charisma +1% Companion stat bonus is granted for the passive pets (Ioune Stone & Cat)? If that is so Charisma may be a good secondary source of crit with those pets....

What level was it? If it was high level and giving so few base stats, it might be easier just to get an Ioun Stone.
They are relatively the same, the following taken from another post.
cat: 980k diamonds - 255 crit, 225 recovery
slots: neck, waist, ring
looks like cat, good for girls
ioun stone of allure: 160 power, 160 crit, 160 recovery, 2000 zen
slots: ring, neck, icon
look like flying little dot + sometimes look like flying leaf
+ one from pvp (green one, i didint check stats) which is the ioun stone of strength
I believe all base stat gain #'s are from max lvl.

I have not confirmed that yet, not sure if anyone else has.
How much do clothes cost in the Matrix?

Thank you!
Unfortunate that the Ioun Stone is considerably weaker, but 980k diamonds is also a huge amount. Here's hoping that the AD:Zen ratio heavily favours holders of Zen!

It should favor zen holders at launch. Tons of pre-order AD holders and very few Zen holders. So twenty bucks of Zen should get you enough AD.
they both add 480 base stats, just broken up differently. At end game, i doubt the difference in crit will amount to more than 0.1-0.2%
Good point, if you are exclusively focusing on gear with the same 3 stats. But it might open the possibility of stacking other valuable stats like armor pen, life steal, etc....

True, I prefer the cat for two reasons:
My preferred bonuses are recovery and critical. Once I have enough data points, I can figure out where power starts to surpass them, but until then those bonuses are my focus. Further, once the point has been identified, I can adjust my other gear towards power. If it turns out that power never surpasses those bonuses, then I'm better off having the cat.
255 crit would be something around 18% more crit rating (on my level 50 anyway). Even if that was only 0.1% (it'll be more than that), +18% more stat rating is a huge upgrade to me. Cat FTW

So is the cat worth it for this build? It's a lot of AD to spend and I want to be sure.

It is possible that the cat will turn out to be better when you have end-game gear if your preferred bonuses are Critical and Recovery. If the cat is better, it should be by only a small fraction of a percent. I'll leave it to you to decide if that is worth it.

Cat is best for Haste build. I. Stone has moved, but even that had poorly scaling power on it.

TBH in the end it don't really matter much as you can change your gear to make up the difference in anyway, IE if you getting negligible returns from Crit & recovery start stacking some other stat.

Now is the cat can be bought at early level, or do you have to be certain levels to get it, I don't start Till tomorrow, and I want to play a cleric. And also, is the cat count as your minion or just passive pet for stats?
Comments
Half-elves get +2 CON/CHA.
It's a shame it's 980,000 Astral Diamonds which is almost half of the starting AD for people who bought the incredibly expensive starter pack.
Those prices are massively, massively overblown.
