When I created my PnP module, we were playing with a real loot HAMSTER, so to play a joke on him I started it out by giving everyone in the party a piece of gear of there choice couple level higher then they could get legally. While there is some fighting in it, and the advanced gear might help some, the module is more about solving the puzzle. Anyway, at the end, the boss took the gear back after the mission is over (to mess with my friend) and standard rewards were given.
Is a scenario like this possible in foundry? Like a chest that has a MH dynamically 5 levels higher (or something) for each class they can equip, but if they left the instance it would disappear.
Or maybe a created item, while in inventory, gives a stat boost versus mobs in my instance?
You can create almost anything you want, but you cant make it give them a buff. And you cant make a sword for them to use, though.. it doesnt work like that. But you could make a quest object, that goes in their pack, and looks like a weapon.

Basically no, you can not create gear or weapons for players to equip or give stat buffs. But you can create items for the quest, for example I made a "sword" item that was needed to unlock a sealing spell on a door for the player to progress.

No buffs or debuffs by items? Can buff/debuff be triggered by the enviornment if said item is in the inventory?
yea like the spellscar thing. that damages them.
