Tried to play today, because I thought as a founder, I would be able to play the Drow race...
NOT! Great dissapointment!

Don't tell me that I have to lvl up Another class first... :(

    I think I remember reading that some of the pack bonuses will only unlock at launch, perhaps this is one of them?

    There's a lot of them in-game, so most people aren't having any trouble choosing them. You'll get the option to pick that race when you create your character, even your first one. If you don't get it, then it's not working correctly for you and you should contact support.
