Welcome to the wonderful world of MMORPGs. Where the Euro is worthless and EU players get ripped off. :D

Price for the hero pack is still the same for you but you also pay for VAT which cryptic has no control over. If you dont like the VAT then get in touch with your government. :P

The extra amount, which increases it, is the VAT that your country applies to online stares. When I go to do an online order of the 200$, it's give to me for 190euro :D

Paying VAT has nothing to do with the game at all, except it's "Location"

    Blame the EU.

switch to the german/french language (if you can) and those prices will be in Euro.
Open the Launcher. Click Options near the top. Check Disable on-demand patching. This will download another couple of gigs.

.....by agreements made with the EU by their Governments.

VAT, excise tax and currency fluctuations are in the extra cost.

Countries that have agreements with the EU to not have VAT taxes nor use their currency still have to pay these ridiculous prices from pwe, how do you explain that?

Highest VAT in Europe is 27% in Hungary.
Today 1€ is roughly equal to 1,3$

So, In Euros the price would be 153,7805

Now, add the 27% tax on that it's 153,7805*1.27=195,301235

    Reconvert in Dollars... it's 253,873$.

That means there must be something else in addition to VAT, since it's higher than it should be even if you were from hungary (and you're probably not? :P)

Vat is 25% in some countries, where did the extra 12.84$ come from?

We Europeans have to learn to live with VAT, but adding more than the VAT for an online product is just being a tool. And some countries don't even have VAT and STILL have to pay those extra dollars, that's just scamming people.

What's even sadder was that I was going to purchase a decent amount of Zen during the discount special...until I realized that, due to the wonders of being out here in the Nickel & Dime'ing EU, I'd end up paying more money for less Zen than I would back in the US.

The VAT and other forms of price hiking on this side of the pond are a cruel joke that people are just "used to". Kind of like Arthritis.
