So at the time of this writing the Count down to the Open Beta Launch Says 6 day and 12 hours, but if you follow the Time zone count down that is linked on the News Feed (here) It says 6 day 11 hours

That is a clear 1 hour difference.
Which is correct? The official count down on the Launcher or the Count Down linked from an Official news post?

EDT: You can notice if you open the link (set to your time zone) and the launcher at the same time.

well for me the one on the launcher seems wrong, the one on the news feed is 5pm gmt (9am pst) which is the launch time they have said so far, unless the clocks go forward for them between now and then :o

I guess it wouldn't kill me to wait until 6pm saturday instead of 5pm should the launcher prove to be the correct one

It has been stated numerous times that its noon eastern. Maybe the launcher isn't taking into account daylight savings time.

    That is not helpful.

We are trying to figure out if the Official Count Down on the Launcher is wrong or the News Feed linked Count Down is wrong.

Its hard to tell because of Time zones and Daylight Savings time. PT is supposed to be 3 hour difference from ET yet some games have it as a 4 hours difference. So it could be either one of these Count Downs.

daylight savings time is a very valid possibility, ive known a few games tto have issues with its time conversion and it could of been overlooked.

Either that or to be blunt, Cryptic has had a LOT of problems over the years when it comes to figuring out and listing times on their website/launcher/whatever. It's embarrassing to say the least.

Ignore the launcher, believe what the website says.

You mean the Website that isn't run by Cryptic?

This is what I am going by, so far these event timers have not let me down.

    http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?month=04&day=25&hour=09&min=00&sec=00&p0=224&msg=Neverwinter+-+Open+Beta+Early+Access+for+Heroes+of+the+North

This also meshes with the website. IMO the Launcher is wrong.

I agree, I'd believe the website over the launcher. Expect 9am PDT.

9am is 9am. A simple Google will tell you in about 30 seconds whether NA is observing Daylight Savings Time at the moment (it is), and that the entire country observes it in the same manner. Eastern is always 3 hours ahead of Pacific. Whether a website or launcher incorrectly calculates the difference is irrelevant, because 9am PDT is still 9am PDT, and 9 + 3 = 12.

Depends on if they mean 9AM PST or PDT. The Launcher is using 9AM PST as the start time and we are using Daylight time so are an hour ahead.
