I wanted to get some opinions of what you guys thought would be some of the best advice to maximize your early access. What things would you recommend to get a good heads start and take advantage of the 3-5 day advantage?
Guilds
Character Naming
Auction House
Things like that...
Any thoughts?

Character naming doesn't matter since we can all be named Bob@Yourhandle... but guild names might be harder to lock down. Auction house will be largely useless, I would think. There's little point in trying to "populate" it with stuff, since there won't be many people to BUY anything for a while.
I plan to (try to) focus on ONE character and just go through the main story arc. I will start crafting as soon as it is possible since sending my lackeys on 18 hour missions as early as possible might as well start early (although I question whether I'll ever make anything worth making).
Main thing I want to do is get OUT of the early zones so that on the 30th I am not flooded with competitors ---- in an open world environment, that can be VERY annoying, competing for limited spawns.

we have instances that we can change. you'd just have to find a low pop instance of the location you're in.
Open the Launcher. Click Options near the top. Check Disable on-demand patching. This will download another couple of gigs.

While this is true it applies to everyone, if the servers are very crowded than it can take a lot of time hopping around instance to fine one with a low pop and there is no telling how long it will stay low pop with other people also looking for one.

I will be concentrating on polishing my Foundry Campaign, and working on getting Chapters Two and Three ready for Open Beta on the 30th. If you are concerned about the flood of new players on the 30th competing for spawns, consider playing User Generated Content (Foundry Quests).Shameless Plug
Personally, once I help found the guild I am in, I am off to adventure.
I am looking forward to enjoying all of the content. Actually listening to the voice acting and reading all of the quests and lore. I will go super slow and participate in the zone events as well as look in every nook and cranny of every solo dungeon and hopefully every group one as well.
I don't care so much about how far out ahead of the masses I get. Considering that I hit level 47 in one beta weekend and level 50 in another, I am fairly confident that I will be at least that far by the 30th if not farther, even going slow and smelling the roses along the way.
If I find stuff to auction I will just check the AH to see what is competitive. If there is nothing there I will look and see what is comparable on vendors and set a price based on that.
Absolutely no Foundry content for me until I hit level cap. I want to experience the story line and be able to run all of the skirmish and dungeon events at level. If you run too much foundry you will easily out level the quest line and miss out on some end zone dungeons. Sorry for countering the above plug but I would hate for new players to miss the story line of the main game due to Foundry content.
People should be careful of PvP as well, it will level you as you play it and you will out level zone skirmish and dungeon events.
1. Wait for the heroes to start first on 25th.
2. Frantically check Metacritic for as many user reviews as possible.
3. Delay your Guardian purchase as much as possible while you check Metacritic (you failed this step, unfortunately)
4. Decide whether to buy the Guardian or not.

No one with half a brain cares about Metacritic. Most of the user scores are either 10's or 0's from people who have played the game for a few hours at most. The Critic scores aren't much better since Metacritic only posts the scores they want.

Lol, people still take that site seriously? It's a free to play game, make your own decisions.

No one cares about the critic scores for the reason you spoke of but the user scores are, largely, reflecting the state of the game. I care about the user scores of Metacritic because they usually confirm my own views...with few exceptions, for instance I still don't get why do people like Boringlands 2 nor do I understand the hype about Biobore Infinity, both which I played and failed to impress me.

@Chomag you shouldn't be using the scores but rather the reviews they written.
Preferably by people who played other games who views you agree with for similar types of games, in this case MMOs and RPGs.
^ This way your highly likely to agree with there views for the new game.
