and I got to wondering, who is that guy with the staff? is it a CW? if so, will staffs be in for CW at launch? A staff would be an amazing alternate weapon instead of the floaty orbie thing.

Don't think that's a wizard. With all the talk of warlocks coming out and the fact they use staves i guess its a lock. The skulls would make more sense as well.

The fact that the rogue and fighter are both attacking her leads me to believe it's just a mob. Unfortunately, I read that there's something in the 4e handbook that states that wizards use different implements when focusing on different types of magic, and the orb is used for control magic.

Warlocks don't use staves any more than Wizards do. The evidence we have so far suggests that Scourge Warlock will likely use Pact Blades in NW. Personally, I'm of the same opinion as derressh; probably a mob.

I wouldn't discount different implements showing up as unique weapon skins for the CW at some point, though.

I wish CW would use a staff however doesn't seem likely. New class maybe.

Yes, in 4E Orbs are for Control Wizards, Staves and Wands are for War Wizards. Specifically I recall that Staff Implements gave some sort of defensive buff to make the Wizard marginally tougher, and Wands boosted the accuracy of the WW's spells.

Sorry but I didn't think to take any. I assure you they're in there though. I think I was looking at one of the PvP vendors or maybe the vendor next to Rhix, but there were a number of Wands in the list. I was surprised. Didn't have the glory/AD to get one, tho.

Thats a mob imo. I like the orbs and they have some really cool skins for the later level orbs.

I would like to have a dagger(Or if its called pact blade) in one hand shooting my fieryspells, just like the CGI trailer if you know what I mean.

That is Asmadai Walock, a monster. It is not a player character.

I am guessing that Warlock or other build of wizard will have other implements like tomes, staff, wands etc.
