uhm he was speaking of 5 classes (assuming them as the 5 we played till now so far). Therefore, if they are really gonna release new classes with OB, they will not be accessible at level 1
he says :and look we are f2p mmo we gona adding new classes they are 100% free we dont charge for any of that
No offense to Jack or any staff at Cryptic, but my experience with them and other game companies has been that things change. This includes fulfilling prior statements. As with most things in life, I will believe it when it happens.
It seems more likely they will charge a premium price for special races as opposed to classes.

Like with one of the other games cyptic has, the original classes are free,
but the dlc ones you have to pay for, and they only make new classes with the dlcs it seems;
it's very disappointing but that's probably what they're going to do here.
Although, if all the classes and new ones they come out with in NWO, are indeed all going to be free,
I would be incredibly ecstatic about it.
they will probably do the same thing they did with the hero pack. Release a class for a price... then after 60 days its free, or their "price" for classes is inherent in the limited character slots

My guess is that it will be on a per-class basis
something like a spellblade or a bard or druid, whose role is already filled elsewhere might be charged, while something like a ranger or warlock, who fills the role of a ranged striker would be free.
they indeed said the won't Charge for classes. but you miss the whole Picture here. you only have 2 char Slots bei Default. so they passivly Charge for new classes, because you have to buy additional character Slots to create them in case you already filled your 2 Slots.
I fully expect they will deal with new class/races. Like they have with Drow.As they SHOULD
Drow race is 100% free to play. BUT if you want to pay for earlier access before it is FREE... you buy the privledge to start X amount of days early with it.
everything in the devs posts and interviews is in the wording... there is no reason they should not or will not offer class/races... for FREE the same way they are giving us the drow for 100% FREE

accounts are free. they dont charge for access to the classes.
Open the Launcher. Click Options near the top. Check Disable on-demand patching. This will download another couple of gigs.

I certainly wouldn't mind waiting x amount of days to unlock a class,
or do something ingame like getting to a certain level or something,
and then let the people that want it now, to buy it;
I think less people would complain if you can earn it ingame, as well as buying it or something,
than if the class were just buy only
It sounds like a good system, having an option of either waiting/earning it as well as buying it
That way everyone can play it eventually
I think lotro and ddo had similar systems, but theirs was kinda grindy, though
Course if the classes are free than that's good, too
Maybe it's the races that'll just be like that? I'm just guessing here though

honestly, if they give a decent amount of classes (like all the core classes or like 10) and a decent amount of races (which i think will be in once the drow is in), then i personaly will have no issues if they charge for further classes/races - if its reasonable like 10 bucks each...its a free to play game and they gotta make a living... i prefer paying for a mount, special companion, race or class than for things like identity scrolls or respec
Actually I really don't mind if I do have to pay for new classes (especially if one such class is a Barbarian, and the prices aren't too mental). I guess PW and Cryptic got to make some money somehow.

cryptic really should look at these threads and starting to charge the right amounts for things that people are actually willing to pay instead of charging too much for things people will get annoyed about...
I could see them releasing a class for zen and then allowing them to be free after X-amount of time.
Kinda like they did with the drow race.
That way people who want it NOW will pay $$$.
They are still a business after all is said and done. And let's face it; there are always people that will pay for certain things early.
I did see the interview where he said they would be added for free... but he didn't clarify if it would be free after they have made some cha-ching off of the zen store first.
"Beware the engineers of society, I say, who would make everyone in all the world equal. Opportunity should be equal, must be equal, but achievement must remain individual."
they dont need little cash income which classes will bring them,and dont forget if classes will be zen unlock they will made them strongest in game so ppl would buy them,as game works now main income will be astral diamonds,wards,and packs and sub income cosmetic mounts,fashion companion so i dont see big profit in classes they would just make huge number of ppl mad and they would lost huge player base after they ad it so atm classes would be bigger profit loss then gain
