This is a problem that I and several others have been experiencing this Beta. Right now we are all stuck at the graveyard. I actually deleted the character I was playing since it was pointless to continue bashing my head against a quest that was the start of the quest line and not be able to finish it. No matter the work around suggested that were used.
The first time we noticed something was not right was when we did group/party delves and the end chest would not trigger. We ended up standing around since the exit doesn't open until the chest triggers and people can remove items for it. Not a big deal really, these were not part of the quest lines. So bug report and move on. The Cloak Tower was the first that I remember this happening at.
Then we started getting the same happening in solo delves while doing the quest line that you need to finish the delve in order to move on. Usually the second or third time the quest would finish, but the chest would never trigger. Again bug reports, quest finished even with no chest, moving on.
Then we reached the Graveyard opening delve. This is where we were stopped by a brick wall of a quest delve. five different tries. The first we thought was a fluke. The wizard dropped through the floor the companions dropped through the floor as well. The companions came back, reappeared, about a minute later. We ended up running all the way back to the beginning to restart the quest to give it another go. The second time the gnoll bodyguard dropped through the floor, the third time the spawned gnolls that come running through the door dropped through the floor soon after they entered the room. The fourth and fifth time, cleared it, still nothing. Sent a bug report, but it detected a profanity (used crapped and frigging to describe how upsetting this game breaking was. "crapped up quest line" "frigging annoying having to run back and forth" )
The annoying bit was running from the base camp down the path that starts up on the bridge, down fight all the zombies at the camp sight along with an elite battle wight, then going down to where the steam vents are, fight the two elite gnolls guarding the bag, down to the crypt entrance fight that elite gnoll, inside, fight that elite gnoll and his friends, take out the other trash in the hallway, cue annoying cut scene, fight gnoll bodyguard and wizard, ..... , quest doesn't finish. Run all the way back to start point of instance, then back to base camp, retake quest, rinse and repeat four more times.
Then since it was detecting profanity, I hit the "I am having this problem button". Submitted it.... 30 seconds later. "Error this is not working, please try again later."
Cannot continue forward unless this quest is done. Stuck at farming this delve and with no reward, quest finished, or anything that will allow a continuation within the area. The prior delves that had no end reward were not a big deal, but at least they were not part of a main quest chain. This one was, and this would break the game for a lot of D&D fans. If this is a common occurrence now, the game is not ready for open beta let alone launch.

I agree. I didn't pay out $200 plus Zen purchases to end up with a bugged main quest line and the D&D RPG feel thrown out. I love D&D and despaired when DDO came out. Then this showed up and I dragged out my old books and got a few of the 4th edition books since that is what this is based off of and drooled over the game. I have enjoyed testing the game up to this beta. There were a few buggy Main quest lines, but one restart of them was usually enough in prior betas. With the foundry missions added in with a working main quest line. It would be a different experience each time and be fun. I'm getting a feeling that without the main quest line finished though, the end content will be out of reach. I'd like to see where the main quest line goes. Will we chase Valindra and her dracolich through many quests until we have a climatic fight where she limps away to lick her wounds until she is taken out in the stories that will be written by the authors of the Faerun lore? Or will we be sitting and staring at our scenes in shock/anger/disgust/(insert various other gamer emotional responses) when a main quest line breaks and there is no continuation until a Developer fixes the broken delve or quest? Prior to this the most game breaking thing I found before the Beta got underway was the life scrolls and their cost in the Zen vendor stores when it's a common anyone can use ritual for out of combat revives in P&P. NPCs use scrolls to heal the entire group of enemies/creatures, if you don't interrupt or kill the scroll NPC, you end up fighting the entire group over again with them at full health. This main quest line breaking has moved to the top of the list of game breakers and sort of taken over the list now. As anything prior to this was minor in comparison. Break the main quest line and no one will be happy. Accept the PvP, grinders, and people who want the Neverwinter Online game to fail a horrible death.
At any fight that makes npc drop true floor be static, eat pots or whatever to keep you alive, under the fight.
But whatever you do do not move a inch. Its the only way to have a chance not open that bug portal to hell.
It worked for me.
Good luck
