Zen or not to Zen

I recently bought the HotN Founders pack and have recently debated spending around $100 more when the game comes out turning it into around 10,000 zen, but recently i've been considering purchasing a guardian of neverwinter pack and getting around 4,000 zen. My issue is justifying the price point when their is so much that overlaps with the first pack.

I guess i'm asking what can 10,000 zen get and or if the guardian of neverwinter pack is actually worth it in comparison.

    since u have hotn pack,i would go for zen since u got companion and fast mount .and that 10k zen i would spend on astral diamonds and maxing bag and bank slots :) or on some nice fashions or gear skins if they come to cash shop

    Buy guardian and 40$ zen pack why pack extra character slot and the companion and mount is for each character assuming you like what is offered if not just zen really comes down to do you like the cosmetics offered and the money is just needs to be spent packs will probably be gone at launch so you will have to al a carte that stuff then.

    hmmm thats the issue isn't it. i heard that 10k zen doesn't go very far as far as store bought companions and mounts are concerned so on one hand i could get another 2 with the guardian pack... and then have enough to possibly get one more from the store... or get 2 or 3 with the 10 k zen and lose out on the slot and the cosmetic items... on the other hand some of those might be available via trade later... *shrugs* still torn on it.

    Spending the zen on astral diamonds seems like a bit of a waste since diamonds can be obtained in game equivalent to how long you play. tough choices... tough choices.

    You know you will get companions from quests and you can buy some from gold and some mounts for gold and astral not sure if there any astral priced companions. And astral can be converted to zen.
    But if you buy 2 packs each character will have available a horse and a spider mount and a wolf and a cat companion.
    Zen will give your characters some other options but I have a feeling that 6months down the road if game goes good (I hope) you will have tons more choices in zen store of mounts and companions. People also will have done the math to say what they do because currently the store doesn’t tell you much so I am not impressed with the zen items till I get a better description. Plus you will get a mount and companion just for logging in enough days consecutively if you choose to buy them.
    The pack is by far the better deal more for you coin but if you don’t like the looks of that horse and wolf get zen.

    Somebody put together a really good post on Reddit outlining what you could buy with Zen, as of Beta Weekend 3. There's bound to be some heavy modification before release, but it should give you a decent starting point.

    Really, it depends on what you're looking to buy.
    - LTS since shortly before the F2P announcement, and very happy about it.
