New class ideas from the D&D book that has not been used yet, and others
Just shooting out some ideas, good to ask now sense its still in bata.
some classes i would like to see added some time---
RANGER-- good far range and a basic dual wielding to defend one self and has a few animals he can summon, also has ability to track, the tracking dose not have to be used in this game but if it is would be nice to see what will be used of it.
PALADIN--a great healer/tank, not as strong healer as cleric but has some nifty auras to compensate, also to pound in those pesky evil monsters/humans.
PYROMANCER--its like a sorcerer but difference is that they can only use fire spells, in the book that leaves them with not much so in the pyromancer book i have here they add a few to make up that gap, also a pretty awesome transformation when he hits epic lvl (20 on the book)
---would also be cool to see the use of prestige classes, like dwarven guard, shadow dancer, arcane archer, and so on.
and finally it would be cool to be able to chose your path depending on what you do and what quest you accept, to be good, evil, or neutral and in those if you are chaotic good, lawful good, chaotic evil, lawful evil, chaotic neutral, and lawful neutral. (the chaotic and lawful dont have to be used, but its a nice extra to make more diversity in the game)
----Post what you may think of this idea or even post some of your favorite things you may have enjoyed in your D&D game play on the book---

forgot to add one more
---BARBARIAN--- With unmatched strength but cant ware any metal armor, but compensate with a unstoppable rage to sustain in battle, the rage is so strong it can even prevent death when he is trained enough in the art of bezerk. A great front liner and a fight starter.

all are really bland and vanilla and offer nothing new..
Why bump it? ranger/pally, barb?
Plus they already outlined the various classes that are in the works.

speaking of shadow dancer (semi new to DnD) i imagine it being class that uses a double bladed scyth
would be beyond awesome and i imagine popular among users
could range aoe maybe throwing the double bladed scyth hiting multiple units like a boomarang effect
or melee aoe or just melee condition over time damage
(if that makes sence)
i dought this will happen but a girl can dream right?

I agree, there are much more interesting classes in D&D, people jsut keep offering up basic classes from the first players handbook.
Runepriest, Battlemind, Psion, Monks, Bards, Druids, Shaman, Warden, Sorcerer, Seeker, Bard...waaaaay more interesting stuff out there than standard Ranger, Pally, Barb requests.

Well, that much is purely subjective, I have much more interest in the Ranger than any others, DnD paladins are fun too. Point being though, the OP's suggestions are already from the DnD books, but not necessarily in the way the OP describes.

actually its a prestige class and its good for assassins it uses the shadows to jump from place to place or even cloak one self, quite fun in book game play

HAMSTER forgot about monks XD but yeah at the time i was thinking of the basic classes that was not used yet but i do agree there is better classes, only non basic idea i put down up there was pyromancer, played a bit with him in the books and is quite fun and the idea of changing into a fire elemental at epic lvl is just an awesome concept.

*You will die because the instrument is out of tune!!!* or something like that.
a bard is a good team buffer, able to get rid of fear, can boost teams strength, or even make them move faster the only aura bard cant do is heal. other than his instrument which could range from a guitar, lute, flute, there voice, ect. they have a decent use of a one handed weapon, most of the time its a rapier.

hey, it will be a time where rageing in game is not frowned upon if they do add a barbarian class
hm another good idea, remember game is still new so new classes is still up for the making
i have seen psonic in the books but never really played a book game with it
so i don't know much about it
