The paragorn tree feats seem a bit uneven.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but those just seem wrong :/

Opressor: General idea - more effective chill stacks. Ultimate - mainly improves a daily power which is hated by the majority of non-CW classes, because it throws enemies around the whole fighting area and messes agro-hold for tanks badly.

Thaumaturge: More damage done along with lowering enemies' defences. Sounds better, except it's a control wizard.

Renegade: Visible improvements of daily restoration, along with overall damage increase by crits-combat_advantage-severity combo. Ultimate - a strong buff on the basic attack (even if it's random, 3% hp per second over 10 seconds is alot better than some of the cleric's spells).

So, to put it in other way, are there any CW's around that will NOT go into the 'Renegade' path? The other 2 seem totally underpowered in comparison to this one. I believe they could be improved somehow. Again, maybe I'm wrong and can't see how they are as good or even better that the 'tactician'...

You are not wrong. Every CW with half a brain will go into the Renegade path unless the others are tweaked.

A correction on your first observation on groups hating the Ice storm daily power....they are not understanding its true purpose. Aggro holding tanks are not trying to "stay on" adds. they are holding aggro primarily on the boss which can NOT be thrown for obvious reasons.

So the relief that ice storm provides when adds begin to get out of control is greatly appreciated(by groups that understand how the power is supposed to work). :p

When adds begin coming back into the fight guardian fights have abilities to attract their attention without losing focus on the main boss until the next control daily flys out for even more breathing room. This was witnessed and done very well during the werewolf dungeons last boss fight which has NUMEROUS amounts of non-minion adds. They can't be just "focused or bursted down" cause they don't die fast at all. Even when they are focused, that's a ton of dps that is not on the boss.

They have to be controlled plain and simple as that. After the first wipe myself and the other control wizard realized this and alternated our icestorms very well to keep the adds clear and away as the boss was bursted down. The fight was a relative breeze. Very fun I might add. :)

Yea, its abit of a shame that the Control Wizards Control paragon is not up to par, less bothered about the damage paragon, the choice should be there though if peeps want to go more damage. Personally I really want to go Oppressor, but kinda feel that it would such a dumb, boneheaded choice atm. Shame really.
