Neverwinter - Great Weapon Fighter - Arena PvP - Nikuyo

Recorded a match during the B3 weekend. My team lost but it was more so that you could see the GWP gameplay and what they're capable of.

The powers I used were: Mighty Leap, Takedown, Restoring Strike. These 3 encounter skills cover the most important things needed in PvP; mobility, CC, and burst.

The mount is an Armored Howler that can be bought for 4000 Zen from the shop.
Music is from a Lindsey Sterling youtube playlist I was listening to at the time of recording. I think it's Crystallize > Elements > Shadows.

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Hey, man! Great video. I have to comment just to say that we play so very similar. I have a post about running a 9kill/0death match on my wizard. Pick your target, lock them down and don't be afraid to mount to a ground potion to take on the next challenge. I've seen beyond a lot of complaints about their pvp effectiveness because of their usual AoE abilities, and I have to say your choices were spot on. Once they fix the heal on Restoring Strike, it'll be even more of a force to be reckoned with. I played the GWF for only an hour and a half (almost exactly) which took me to level 10. I instantly shut off my laptop and left the beta knowing it was instantly my pick for launch.

Don't get me wrong- its fun to never be touched as a Control Wizard when you do it right, but slashing people to bits gives you a thrill like no other.

I'd love to pvp with you sometime during the (im guessing a single weekday beta4 in a month or so/launch) next play! What do you think about having an At-Will ability with a daze or stun? If they had that, would it complete the GWF in it's pvp glory or did you find the setup to be on spot? Also- did you run Crit, Power, or Defense. Cleric heals in pvp are near nominal, so glory potions/ground potions seem to be the key. Glory potions will cost you more to be effective if we have high HP but i believe the ground potions are % value/second.

In any case, great PvP. Glad to see someone capping, retaking, and stealing some nodes!
Look me up next round. Runemaster@DuergarRunesmith

I think the last swing of sure strike (the at-will ability you get at 15) should have a chance to knockdown. It's an overhead swing that you crush them over the head with and explode the ground into rubble. It makes sense thematically and it would help the GWF with some much needed CC. I also think Takedown might need a little love on the range. As it is now you have to be up their *** for it to hit, which isn't impossible since we have sprint. However, when you're out of stamina you're pretty much screwed when it comes to sticking to your target. I'm not sure how often I'll be on the one day betas as I have a weird work schedule but I'll remember to add you when I get on.

About the pots, I had no idea about them for a while but I picked them up after I made this video. They made everything so easy and I expect to see a nerf to them soon. I also think
