I am generally good at working these things out, but for the life of me I can not work out how to get rid of the starter OH dagger and equip a new one.

Right, open up your character panel ( C ) and your inventory ( I ) at the same time. Then click and drag a dagger into the off hand slot.

Sadly, they don't give you the comparison tool tip when you hover your mouse over the dagger in your inventory. They also don't give you the option to equip off-hand by right-clicking it. BOTH of these features really should be in the game.

Yup, this mechanic needs to be improved (alt key is kinda occupied, but they can do it with... i dont know ctrl?) so you rightclick in inv to switch with main hand and ctrl + click for switch off hand.

In other games you can just rightlclick on an item and choose "equip to offhand" rather than "equip to mainhand" and both main and off hands are displayed when comparing them. In this one I found the best way is to drag the currently equipped weapon onto the one that I want to switch to.

Just rotate the weapons. When you get a new dagger place it into your main slot then switch your old main with your off hand. So long as the new dagger is equal to or greater than your main you are set.

This seems like such a little feature to add, but it the appreciation would be immense. +1 to get this added.

Would be a nice qol improvement. Other classes get to compare their shield or orb stats.

Yes I must say I found it rather strange we had to manually compare off-hand weapons. Or switch the off-hand with the main hand weapon, compare, and see if the new weapon we just picked up was better. Also the equip to off-hand on right click is needed as rackhamgreg74 already mentioned. I'm really hoping these features are added in the public release. :)

    Agree!

Off-Hand comparison tooltips and a right-click > Equip to off-hand would be muchly appreciated. I can see people running into this more, especially if they haven't played a dual-wielding class before.

On the character sheet (C), the slot labels can be clicked as buttons and it will let you choose items from your inventory to equip in that slot. However, the off-hand slot was replacing the main hand weapon in last weekend's beta. I reported as a bug, hopefully it will be fixed.

ctrl is a sticky target command. u highlight a player/npc/mob with the reticule then hold ctrl and the reticule will follow that character. its great for the gf and cleric. havent found a need for it with the trickster. on the other hand, identifying left/right alt or ctrl could be the way to go.
