I found a way around the launcher, RC your desktop shortcut, Open the Neverwinter folder, then the Live folder. Double click GameClient. Unfortunately i'm now stuck on the (Connecting to Account Server...) screen. Times out after a while. I hope this works for you all, if it does let me know. If I find a solution to the timeout i'll be sure to post it. Peace

I was in the game and logout to switch char but can never login ever again.. sadly.

I tried this and had the same results as you did. Stuck at the Connecting to Account Server...
I'm willing to try anything at this point.
Sorry to hear about this. We are troubleshooting the issue internally to see what is going on (specifically: the issue where some users are receiving a "Too many attempts" error message). Currently it doesn't look like there are any issues on your side; so far it looks like the issue is with our servers receiving a high volume of connection attempts.
We will continue working on this. Unfortunately right now I don't have an ETA, as we have not yet identified the root cause of the issue. Thanks for your patience and understanding while we work things out.

Thanks for giving us an answer of some sort.
At least I feel like someone knows about what we are going through.
I would like to play sometime.
Do you think I should just keep trying to log in?
I used the Linksys router option #1. Once I finished this, I restarted the launcher for NW and it allowed me to login without the "too many attempts" error. It does however have a gigantic patch. I'm not sure if this is just a regular patch, or something it's doing because it sees my new IP and thinks I don't have the proper info. Anyway, hope this helps.
