I went to a half dozen different local stores today looking to purchase a card today so I will be ready when Neverwinter goes Live. Turns out both Walgreens, Best Buy, both Target's, the one 7-11, I refuse to go to Walmart, I havent gone by Rite-aid yet, and all the other stores are not in my area. (the ones shown here https://billing.perfectworld.com/faq/store )

Gamestop had $10 cards, but they were outdated, they said once PWE puts new art on the cards the old ones are non-functional. They were unaware their supply was old, and no idea of when they will get new ones.

I am cautious about using your online purchases since when I ordered your $60 pack for beta Paypal wouldnt except my debit card and i ended up having to use Skrill which over charged me by a small amount (around $1.50). I see now you allow Visa/Mastercard purchases without going through another company but the poor handling of a new game by an older company with many games under its belt shouldnt have gone that way.

Please make sure all of your supposed carriers of your pre-paid cards are actually carrying said cards.

Hmm didn't know old cards became non-functional, glad I read this before buying one. How can you tell if they old ones or the current ones?

wish i knew. the art on the link i posted has different art than the one i saw today. The art on the left is different than the art on the right, the art on the left is the art i saw today.

on a side note, Rite-Aid didn't have it either.

PWE also accepts Rixty. Which may be a good option if the places you go has a Coinstar machine or a place that sells those cards.

    Hi Draelin,

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your experience. I'm actually not aware of any situations where a card will become inactivated, so I would personally recommend having your local retailer double-check that there is a legitimate issue with the cards that they have in stock.

If you do purchase a card and have any issues with it, you can also contact Incomm (the card manufacturer) to check on the activation status: http://web.incomm.com/contactus.do

Thank you and good luck picking up your card!

Thanks for the info, sadly that was what i was told and then was told their system wouldnt sell it. she initially tried to ring it up but it was flagged in their system in some way ( I couldn't see the screen). I will look into your link. thanks.

Edit: looking around online and noticed that it may have been going on a while, this is old but it could be a company selling old cards. http://eso-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?60521-PWE-Prepaid-Cards

noticed in a google search similar issues have been going on for years it seems.

Finally put in a CS report online to PWE's main support and got this response.

    Hello
Thank you for your feedback. When PWE is given the opportunity to direct Incomm's supply of cards, we will attempt to direct cards to your area.
In the meantime, please be aware that the Ultimate Game Card is accepted by PWE as an alternative to PWE brand prepaid cards.
    We appreciate your support!

I went to look up said company and did find STO on the list here, http://www.ultimategamecard.com/, for anyone looking for a Pre-paid card if they can't find PWE cards near them, I have seen those places that I have checked around at.

*cough* Wal-Mart *Cough* But no seriously. I've always seen them stocked on walmart shelves. And if they don't have them just ask at the counter.

and then if they STILL say they are out. Pull out your smartphone. Order the card online with in-store pickup. And make them go in the back and get it. :)

For zen. You can get zen from many ways, one of them being game card (which protects credit card information and imo is better).

Unfortunately society has not really evolved to the point where anything is "free". Even if you never pay a single cent to play this game, it will still cost you time in advertising (even if that advertising is only for "game" products, perks, special gear, mounts, etc., we can hope...). Come up with a society that doesn't use money and all this stuff is free for everyone, and hey, so is everything else! Dare to dream... www.thezeitgeistmovement.com/

That's because people have not yet evolved to the point where they don't need to "eat".

In regards to Wal-mart, I would rather shoot myself then grace their stores with my presence. Not only are they an abomination, but the in-store CS is even worse.

With regards to why we would want a pre-paid card, I play D&D table-top and totally see myself buying cosmetic gear to fit my player. In order to do that effectively I will more than likely need some Zen. On top of that, supporting companies that make good products is how you keep good products coming out down the road.
