Ah yes, Archeage. Trion is taking care of it in the west; curious to see how localization works out. I think out of the Korean MMO's coming that Black Desert is looking great as well. The Giants are awesome.
That Mage looks like my co-workers boi friend/partner. Very pretty, and exquisitely groomed.

I was a bit worried about who was going to get it for the Westernization, but I am glad it was not EnMasse! We will see how Trion does.
The mage is very pretty, but thats the race. They are very child like.
TERA has way better combat than Neverwinter, so if we are comparing games, Neverwinter just gets torn apart...yet again. Neverwinter has way too many restrictions as well. I wasn't even talking about the combat..............I was talking about my mage wearings pants and vests........ and having a grey orb float above my body.

I love that first picture!
You really think so? Combat wise I find Neverwinter superior, to be honest. Or at the very least, roughly the same. When it was still sub-based I made it to end-game, had all the best gear on a Zerk, Slayer, and was working on a Sorc before I just got bored. Not sure what it was, but TERA was just too... easy, really. Maybe it was the lack luster animations, or just the feel of the classes that I played (Zerker especially was as constricting as a turtleneck 3 sizes too small). TERA definitely had some good skill to use (If you weren't a Slayer), and I enjoyed my time in it. But TERA felt like an in-between of Tab and Neverwinter. Just my personal experience.
Arrows and Blades do not have names on them.

I think the combat in TERA, was very easy, but also fluid and the skills were way better. Neverwinter combat is easy, but limited in my opinion. Neverwinter is really no more action than TERA. Blade and Soul was more of a Tab target, action type of game. I don't know but I am fine with both tab targeting or action style combat, customization and the fluid actions of combat are more important. Archeage's combat might be tab targeting, but it is very fluid and the amount of options is enormous.
I don't hate Neverwinter, it is going to be a nice filler, but I am highly disappointed in the game. I want my **** necromancer and I want black robes with a staff. ( I am needy, I know, but that is the mental picture I had of my character since I found out about the game. )
Well, one thing I liked in Neverwinter that TERA doesn't have (at least I didn't see while making a 34 mystic and 30 sorc) is ground-targetted AoEs. Granted the targetting system here doesn't give you the luxury of precisely aiming that giant circle on the ground, without wasting a lot of time, but at least it's better than nothing at all.

Yeah, I agree with this. All of the spells fired off a set distance from you. There wasn't a lot of leeway in your range. Of course, this is natural, since a Sorc can kill you in just a few seconds flat with their Fireblast/Inferno/Whatever attack. Especially when glyphed properly.
I will say this though, I am missing my flowing robes and other such garments. I like flowy.

Yeah, because action combat is obviously all that matters in any games.
I actually prefer the look of Archages combat over what I have experienced in NW, but combat is generally not what keeps me interested in an MMO anyway.

Don't mistake my comparing for actually liking though. I dislike TERA, but even if I dislike something I will give it credit where credit is due.
I find Archeage to be one of the best looking MMOs, it is not going to be perfect, but it certainly has a lot to offer. I just hope PW realizes what a crappy game they are coming out with. They are competing against a lot of "better" games and only really appealing to the DnD crowd and even that is not fully true.

I'm aware. I was agreeing with you. I didn't enjoy TERA's ground-targeted AoE aiming structure, as I pointed out.
I like to think, graphics aside, that each MMO has that X-factor. That thing that encompasses something about the game that charms you. TERA was beautiful, but it didn't have that.. "it" for me. Neverwinter feels "right" for me. And as ArchAge looks interesting, and customizable as hell (and that's a good thing), systems like that worry me. I personally am not a fan of having more than 2 hotbars needed to play the game. Options are fine, but I prefer smaller amounts, with more weight behind them. Just my personal opinion.
Another thing that worries me about ArchAge and The Elder Scrolls Online is that, for all the customizability (how combat functions and feels aside), it also has that feeling that I'm eventually going to get pigeon holed into specific builds in order to be.. "viable" < a word I hate with a passion. This may or may not turn out to be the case, but for the game's sake, I certainly hope not. Because in the case of that, I'd rather just play a very well crafted, thought out, and fun class that does what I want it to do in the first place.
But, I digress. Cheers to all! Until the Matrix/Sword Art Online-type gaming systems are invented. All we have to do is wait, and see what shoe fits best, even if it doesn't fit perfectly.

Wizard = Monocle.
EDIT:
May a few doves, a hat too, but Monocle is absolute!

tsk tsk trying to defame a game by showing level 1 content with a character that doesnt even have an ability yet
ha ha shame on you.;)
here are some archeage video's that are a little better in quality
combo trailer class effects etc : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxOETBfYSpQ
pets , housing and fashion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OluoZE0FQZs
big kraken sea battle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekaNIc8dd6U
there are lots of videos on ships and boats, like rowing boats and such.
there are so many quality and long review videos that if you interested in archeage you can find all the bells and whistles of the game.
but neverwinter and archeage is like apples and oranges, they are two completely different games with unique styles.
neverwinter is awesome in its own genre.
