Personally, I would LOVE to have a regular stance for just standing around that didn't involve holding my fingers up like an idiot. I like to RP when not actually leveling, and that stance would just be painfully awkward. Not to mention a basic sit emote. That would be a personal suggestion. RP is a huge part of D&D and it should be thought about to at least some degree. Perhaps a sit like in Champions Online? Or a stance like the Cleric? Just something for idle standing around, AND A REGULAR FRIGGEN WALK! It's a little ridiculous to not only stand around all the time with your fingers up, but also to walk around with both hands up looking completely insane? Come on..
This is probably the #1 complaint that I saw on the second beta test in game. People were either complaining about, or making a joke of the Wizard class because the idle animation looked really odd. As a role player myself this is something that I simply cannot get over. I even made a joke with a friend myself to the effect of wondering what would happen if the Wizard lost his index finger.
"Good sir... ... ARE YOU GIVING ME THE BIRD?!"
I just can't see a good reason for there to be an idle animation like this from an immersion perspective. If they need it to focus their energies, then why don't they do it when they're sitting down as well? If it's there for no reason other than it felt like a good idea when doing said animations, and it's too late to change now, then that's just a darn shame. It's an eye sore from nearly every perspective if you actually care about characters and lore/story and the immersions they bring. It will just be a darn shame for role players in general.
Please take this class seriously and make an optional alternate idle stance for those who actually view Neverwinter as a legitimate fantasy game to be RP'd in and played with. It's so annoying that I'd even pay for an idle animation set in the cash shop.

"Why should one devolve themselves to try and entertain those of a lesser mindset around them?"
