Having participated in Beta Weekend 2, I'm thrilled. Never will there be a game where anybody is 100% satisfied.

So that said, and being as this was a beta test and not the live production game, I have to say thank you for bringing the Forgotten Realms to my home. It's very apparent this isn't a true conversion of the D&D ruleset, I was apprehensive, but after experiencing it first hand, I believe this is a fantastic interpretation. It flows well from one thing to the next. The story was interesting and for the first time (for me) in a MMO I found myself actually reading through the quest logs and material. The quest giver narrations were superb, and it drew me in. I hope you do more of that, or keep it up as much as possible. I think that is money well spent (for immersion).

The tutorial was great. It helped me get used to the controls (mostly). I was still stumbling a bit with the use of Q & E hotkeys but that'll come. I use those keys to strafe in other games, so I must have looked a bit stunned running through Neverwinter at times. I would be lying if I said I wasn't just a bit concerned with being limited to one hotbar and mouse-look as the only option to control my character. But this turned out to be one of the BEST things ever!

The city was rich in atmosphere! In fact, when I turned the music down low and listened to the environment, I realized just how immersive it was; even hearing the sounds armor makes on other players as they ran past, leather, chain, plate. Very cool. Hearing the distant howls of ... wolves ... in the distance, great! (I know, I know, there is a reason you hear them, and their not wolves, are they!)

The character creation and customization is really nice. But what shocked me was the way we can further develop our characters as we level up. This is really very different from the other D&D MMO title out there, and I really like the way this is done.

Unlike others, I didn't level up as high as many did. My windows of test time were less than others I think. But I did get to play each day for a number of hours each day. Some are concerned the quests are too easy. I played solo, so I can't speak about group play, but solo felt pretty darn good! I died a few times, mostly when I got overwhelmed by the number of mobs, and/or I ran out of heal potions, so maybe I'm not as good at combat as some. Or maybe it's my lack of strategy. Great job! I didn't feel as though I was on god-mode at all.

Next is the Foundry. While I didn't get an opportunity to play with the Foundry, I wasn't worried about it. I likely won't be somebody who will use those tools. I'm a player, and not much of a story teller or designer. I did however get an opportunity to play a UGC Foundry quest. I'm sure there were many that were great to play, I only played Zebular's, and thanks Zeb, great job. I can see the Foundry is going to be a HUGE win for the Neverwinter community!

I look forward to what is to come. I know you've said more classes and such, so I am eagerly awaiting that, as the favored classes weren't available in Beta (Ranger and Bard)!

Of all the things I saw and experience this past weekend in Beta Weekend 2, the Hit Points and combat values are the only thing that disappointed me. But I can learn to live with those. It's something I'll learn to let go of in the name of fun, immersive game play. But if you did dial all that down, I wouldn't be displeased! :)

So, in the end, I'm very excited about this game. I can't wait to see more of it. Thank you!

I'm glad you had a great time! I also had a great time had 5 computers running in my living room with friends and family this weekend. Was very wonderful time.

Only bad feedback I got from everyone was. The identy items, and the control wizards stance. Everything else was all positive.

Well I agree a lot with Aescleal. Had a great time playing. I'm not a hard core mmo player, only got to lvl 12 shows how bad I am at playing. But still had a blast. I played a cleric. Because i like magic and fire. I like to turn mine into a tank. Which i did. Wasn't hard. Have the right armor, rings, neckels and kick butt till the right weapon comes up and boy did it. Yes I die more times then I can count but I didn't give up at all. so got to level 12 to the tower sewer dungeon mission got through that then i more or less stop. walked around the city too see everything.

Things that seemed a little weird, where ever you go the creatures and people you fought were the same level as you. so kicking butt was a little harder...but got through it. Huge guys...I mean HUGE people to kill. I didn't see the point to making these people so huge. Some of these trolls or what ever they were where like buildings attacking me. Yes you can still kill them but come on they were like walking houses. For people who say the killing was easy. I am not like a said hard core player so I would say it wasn't that easy to kill 9 guys at one time plus having 3 9 foot npc hitting me.

Something I did a lot, I saw that when i ran the guys would follow me....so i ran through the city having them all chase me. For one second I stop to see how many, not 5...not even 10...I had 22 guys chasing me. I just ****e my pants and ran. I love that they chase me, I love that they don't stop. I love that yes i'm about to die but you know what it took a long time for them to catch me when the area is so huge that you can run and keep running. You're probably asking why i didn't just stop and fight them. 22 guys running after me, with 4 guys to my left standing there and 5 guys to my right with 2 7 foot fighters. And I had to run between them.

I just to much fun i guess to care if I leveled up, because the character was going to be wiped which ticks me off because I put so much work into him. Then to have to redo all the mission in the next beta. Not really looking forward to that. may try to get into it but just to go back and kill again that HAMSTER. that killed 27 times then i finally killed him. Laugh all you want, its a game I think i could invest in maybe depends not sure yet.

A question: If i downloaded all this and played it. Do I still have to go and buy the game when its release or do I have it already and just use the launcher I have?

    ok all thanks for reading.

I agree with the OP here. The game is coming along quite nicely and I've been really impressed with this round compared to the last one. The tutorial is very well put together, and everything just seemed to run smoother. This round I took a Cleric to level 23 or so and I was very impressed with the class. It had Healing, and DPS, and left me feeling like I was contributing to the group as a whole, instead of filling a specific niche. The 2 dungeons I did were very impressive. I especially like how the Cleric was able to identify the religious shrines and the thieves were able to disarm the traps. The whole experience was just over the top.

Anyway very good job! I'm really excited and looking forward to the release.
