Cleric as a whole is by far my favorite class and I try and know as much as possible about the class I use. I've used the forum search function in several different ways, but I haven't been able to find a thread or post that plainly tells how it works. I've seen in the Paragon Points where players with Temporary Hit Points gain an additional percentage of healing based on the number of points in the feat, but one thing still alludes me.
How does the Temporary Hit Points from Sacred Flame work and how do I tell if and who its currently affecting?
I appreciate the feedback as I've tried testing it and haven't figured this out.

The yellow bar extending from the end of a player's life bar is their temporary hit points. The next time a player is hit, it will be subtracted from that total first. Basically, they last until they've soaked up the damage, kind of like a shield. They're extremely helpful, especially since Guardian Fighters have lots of abilities that synergize well with temp HP and grant them temp HP as well.

Ahh okay! That makes sense and it sounds really nice. I'm looking forward to working with it some later tonight. Thanks for the explanation.

You should know that Temp HP works best when it is granted to characters who are already at full health, which effectively extends their HP total. When they have already taken damage, it basically acts as any other heal would, except that if they are healed after that, it will refill their green bar, effectively removing the temp HP.
So to make the best use of Temp HP, I recommend starting off your attack sequence by using skills that mitigate damage (either by shielding allies or debuffing enemies) then start using abilities to stack Temp HP.
