Hello all this may have been ask alredy alredy but do this game shares "anything" with the original work of Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter? i know that at least once in Neverwinter made some "reference" to Baldurs gate but i was wondering if this was the case for this game ? or not ?
It is a canon game based on the Pen and Paper Neverwinter:Campaign guide. It follows the story of city after spellplague. It is a canon story in D&D multiverse.
The other D&D games were set in other times.

Just to extend a slight bit, the other games were also developed by the same company (Bioware had their hands in both BG and NWN)
There is a street named Deekin Street in Neverwinter but there's no coninuation of the NWN storylines. The other games *chose* to put references to each other within the game but as Gill mentioned not only happened in a different time period but happened at a similar time period. The Bhaalspawn incident is 150 years or more before Neverwinter's setting so it's not a common topic.
It is a cannon game though so there's no reason the other games can't be referenced, especially in UGC, but it's not going to play a big part in the Cryptic Storyline if they are referenced at all.
At this point in time more people in Neverwinter are more worried with erupting volcanoes, Shadovar plots and the walking dead than they are with Aribel's Treachery 150+ Years ago...afterall Aribel is dead and...well...the volcano killed virtually everybody inside Neverwinter...
