My Brother downloaded client but it won't patch , user account error?

Greetings,

My brother is going to be useing the beta key I got for purchaseing the Hero of the North founder pack. I haven't given him the key yet but, he should still be able to patch? He downloaded the client from direct download and it does run. When he logs in with his account to patch it gives him a "user account error" Do I have to give him the beta key in order for him to patch before the 8th?

    If you see this message on the launcher, it means that you are trying to log in to the game when the servers are not available. Please be sure to check the Beta Weekend Schedule to see when to log in to the game!


    Make sure he has a key before the 8th, and if he has any trouble please advise him to contact customer support.
