PVE and PVP builds maybe u should keep them seperate.

Now Im not sure if doing so is harder to do, and the only reason I am typing this is cause from what I have seen in videos of some different rogue builds, Is a Big NERF comin to the rogue. Now I dont know how to do links but there is a video on utube with a guy doing a very descriptive video of a stealth build for a rogue that looks well thought out, and is a good video. But with that said the build is a kind of refresh stealth build, some move he did refreshed the stealth bar and allowed him to stay in stealth for a pretty long time. Of coarse I dont see any PVE prob with that, and really no PVP prob with it cause I want to play a rogue, but man being on the recieving end of a refresh stealth rogue is prob going to tick alot of people off. So this is pretty much a, I hope the builds r different PVE v PVP. Or alot of the really cool looking stealth mechanics of the rogue I have seen r just going to b NERFED from all the complaining people will do in PVP about rogues. Which like I said I could understand, cause I have not played a PVP rogue b4 that does not leave stealth when u attack, and can also refresh the stealth u r in while attacking so.......

What do u all think?

pve and pvp builds? only if they add something like resilience, which would make the game more like wow than it already is.... not a good thing. in terms of stealth builds, aren't there detection abilities to counter them? in the old game if you wanted to detect a rogue you boosted up spot and listen skills.

What I meant was if they r going to nerf a rogue or any class for that matter to nerf them according to the complaints. ie. if people in pvp thought the rogue was to strong, then just change the rogue for pvp not all around. I think in all honesty it is prob alot harder the balance pve with pvp together cause either u make 1 good and the other not so good, But as far as detection is conscerned I wouldnt know this will hopefully b my 1st D&D game of any kind.

Imo opinion NW should NOT have PvP!

    (1) A couple of years ago every mmo that launched tried to add every aspect of the mmo genre to their game leading to failing in some aspect of the game or just falling short with unimpressive mechanics due to heavy balancing issues or bad implementaion (Ilum in swtor anyone?)

    (2) In todays mmo market with tons of new games with B2P and F2P being the new norm, mmo games are trying to distinguish themselves with having an aspect of the game that stands out in turn being its flagship. Like GW2 with WvW and DE, TSW unque questing experience with no levels, Tera with high asian fantasy and dynamic combat system.

NWO being PvE heavy would be ruined by PvP due to balancing issues imo. The game should have its niche, wich is player generated content through foundry and dynamic combat. What Im trying to say is, be good at what you do best. Adding all aspects of mmo's to your game to reach a broad audience will just end up making you stretching yourself too thin and then fail to distinguish yourself at anything.

If players really want a good pvp experience then player will go play a game wich in its core is set to be a PvP centric game wich makes PvP a much better experience than any game that adds PvP just to make a minority of the audience happy.

I don't think that D&D is about PvP (beyond some limited contests/duels). Cooperative games ftw! But this game is also MMOstuff so I can understand them adding it to whatever limits they decide. But yeah, diluting resources and efforts...

So yeah, keep my PvE safe from the PvP menace!!!

since game is f2p and ego brings biggest $ u can expect the best game gear to be for pvp reward and u will able to get it only if u win all time :(

Depends completly of the implementaion of PvP. For example they could sepereate PvP gear with PvP only stats (WoW) or the PvP gear cant be used in a PvE envionrment (GW2). Since this game isnt announced as a "PvP game" then true PvPers wont flock to this game like e.g. LoL. Meaning the revenue will come very little from PvP players.

Please, Cryptic, don't nerf the functionality of class abilities in PvE because of problems in PvP. Everyone is sick of that happening in every other MMO. If something's unbalanced in PvP, just make it work differently in PvP, but leave the PvE version alone. This will avoid making a lot of players unhappy.

I agree, this game does not need pvp. A game is ruined when they attempt to balance pvp and pve class effectiveness. PvP and PVE are so disparate this is almost imossible to do.

Nah, dont nerf the rogue, give us mages AOE that breaks stealth. You kinda think a rogue is somewhere to be found, release it and see.

    :D
