Hitching and choppiness problems

I just wanted to know if anybody else was having this problem. Now my rig is pretty good (i7 3930/GTX 680/intel 520 SSD) and I can run Planetside 2 and any other game with maxed out settings flawlessly. When I was playing the CBT weekend for Neverwinter I would get hitching and choppiness all the time.

I know its not my rig and was thinking, maybe because it's beta they have not optimized the game for all the hardware out there? I know its kind of late posting since the CBT is over, but I just wanted to know if they are fixing the issue.

I didn't have this issue with my desktop, just my laptop, which meets the minimum requirements and as such will not improve lol. Forgive my asking, but have you updated your video drivers? This tends to resolve such issues most of the time. On rare occasions outdated network adapter drivers factor in how smoothly data is transferred, recreating the choppiness or hitching consistent with video bugs, and what is know as "step back" or teleport lag that is common with poor connections in extreme cases, even in connections with good bandwidth.

Actually, updating my drivers to 310.90 was the first thing I did to try and resolve the problem. To no avail though. The only other thing I could think of was I am running Win8 pro 64bit, but I have friends running Win8 also and they didn't have this problem. So now I am even more stumped:(

Not familiar with the term Hitch....does that mean to simply freeze and unfreeze a short time later and not be able to do anything at all. If so, i did have this exact problem, and it was NEVER resolved prior to end of beta. See my post here...

Yes, that is what hitching means, when you freeze a short time then unfreeze. When I freeze though it isn't as bad as you, I'll freeze up for about a few seconds at most or just stutter then the game will continue without any problems. It will continue like this the whole time, freezing up/stuttering periodically.
