Greetings RPG fans. I've been playing RPGs for a long time, first on paper with good old D&D, then on PC, console and online. I was there for the first Neverwinter online game released on AOL in the late 1980s (alpha tester 1989, game released 1991), and later 1997's Ultima Online (some people get their MMO history wrong, but yes D&D's Neverwinter was the first true MMO of all! Online MUDs don't count ).
As Ultimus Magus (sometimes under a different alias) this one has assisted many, and battled countless enemies on the Planes of the Internet. The gods of Faerun willing, this wizened wizard will be of help to you as well. May the blessings of Mystra, Corellon Larethian, or whatever deity you favor be with us all.

But welcome to Neverwinter fellow seasoned D&D veteran.

I'm aware that the links are true, since I read them before posting. I was referring to his post as a whole, which has been regurgitated ad nauseam, without personalization to each and every one of these introductions. Easy to post? Sure. Also easy to ignore by the reader. Thank you both for the welcome and the good intentions, however.
And just a side note to Deathssickle, keep it up with the greetings. So far you are about the ONLY one who takes the time to write a greeting to EVERYone that makes a post in this thred. So I, ME and MYSELF realy don't care it it is cut and pasted, I don't ess anyone else taking the time and effort to greet everyone that post here. It would be an interesting challenge to see if anyone else would take the time to do what you are doing AND keep it new and fresh each and every times while still provideing all the links and info that you post. And there are a lot of previous posting to go back through to get "caught up" on to just to kick the effort off with.
Hope this Grumpy Old Half-Orc aint been too grumpy or offensive,..... this mornings coffee musta worn off already.
Is this guy a 2nd account of deathssickle? Seriously....how is it kept 'new and fresh every times (sic)' when it is a copy/paste? How is it any effort at all when the OP is not even read? It feels like a spamming guild advert, and regardless as to whether the links are accurate or not - if it's just a copy/paste, it's not a genuine welcome, and it's not personal at all. I particularly note that even after his post on the majority of the Introduction posts, regardless of questions/comments about it, there is very rarely any reply from him afterwards at all.
In spite of all to above (and /rant off BTW), to each their own, I hope the effort draws the quality players that he is hoping to attract, and that there are not many that are annoyed or offended by the posts (and are turned off by the game as a result).
Happy Hunting all of you in the next beta weekend, I can't wait already!!!!
