With the first weekend behind us how did the $200 packs work out?

(Not "who" I meant "how") (fixed it for you)

Curious how the $200 founders would evaluate their packages after playing the weekend.

    mine did't load. Only offered the usual races and three classes: cleric, fighter, thief

    Well i got the 750k astral diamonds
    The extra bag and the title.
    Dont think the rest is ingame yet

    Does the 200$ pack also come with the Wolf and Mount from the 50$ pack? If so I'd be more likely to buy the 200$ one.

    No, you get the spider mount and panther instead. If you want the horse/wolf you'd have to buy the 60 pack on top of the 200 one.

    I think the question here is more: After playing the beta weekend, do you still feel you made the right choice in buying the package? If I'm mistaken, I apologise, but I think that is what the good drwarpeffect is asking :p.

    The only thing the packs granted were:

    - Astral Diamonds
    - "Founder" title
    - Bag (Hero of Neverwinter)

    Therefore, evaluating the entire pack at this point is difficult. I will say that given that the Wolf and Panther companions are likely to be included as soon as you can get mail (level 4, after the tutorial), as are the Armored Horse and Armored Spider mounts, those aspects will be nice. It is possible the mounts will be in a separate mail at level 20, but I hope not.

    If this is indeed the question - my answer is a resounding yes. I'm happy to have paid the $200 - though, if they ever offer some sort of 'subscription' vip type thing - they had BETTER consider that $200, a lifetime VIP subscription payment. :-)

    I bought the 200$ pack last minute as a extreme skepic with only mmorpg beta stream and very small class videos to go on. This being said the more i learned and researched about neverwinter the better i felt.

    After playing the weekend to lvl 30 on rogue and 10 on fighter / cleric. I had a good time, i really liked almost everything the game had to offer , with crafting and more classes i think it will be pretty solid.

    The only things that needed improved to me were some UI issues / explanations of some odd mechanics like praying at alters and the events going on. Basically i feel like its a game worth 50-60$ easily however the foundry looks fun and promising and the 750,000 diamonds will help me flesh out my character more so to my liking , like buying mounts or something else thats more my taste.

    I dont think 750,000 diamonds will go very far , as the 120% move speed horses are over 2,000,000 diamonds. So its hard to say.

    I dont regret it either way, was good times.

    Your interpretation makes more sense than the original post. I'd have to say "No reason to regret" despite not having had access to the Foundry yet or suffering consistent disconnections (dozens upon dozens... but I suppose it's low priority when compared to bugs and even crashes to desktop so I'll expect them for next beta weekend).

    Umm.. yes? Because most of the people that were playing this weekend were the ones that bought the founders pack...

    That would be the first reason.

    Next we have the 875,000 Astral Diamonds that were good for.. well.. buying a mount at 20 and speeding up your companion training.. that's all I found them good for.

    And, of course, the title was there and two bags.

    So, yes.. I found a great deal of value in getting those packs.

    I really hope "Astral Diamonds" get reset for game launch, as I spent alot of mine testing gear and getting a few mounts to see how they are.

    I do not regret purchasing both the $200 and $60 pack at all.

    I want the rewards, so I got both.

    well for me all I got was a Bag and tittle i never saw the Astral Diamonds. I was able to play the Orc raid after a few trys it started working for me, i was also able to play the relic hunt in the tower dist little boring but it worked. I would like to see more events like orc raid where i can just queue up and wait till people join and it will port you to the quest. that is one of the best group making modes i have seen over many MMOs and hope more show up there. also I tried to use the founder but it wouldn't start as well. over all still bugs but this is beta so ok . game play for what works I was surprised and happy and im looking forward to trying more out


    P.S. why is my form tittle not Hero of the North? I have the $200 pack?

    Explain why.....

    In this game mounts don't seem too useful with all the instanced content and smallish zones. I think itd be nicer to choose a mount from all of them in the shop also, does spider one move much faster?

    The race is only a racial ability, not a new race. Again id expect they will sell more races or racials later on and would be nice to choose not take the 1 they offer to start.

    So, my point is, can't you use the $200 more wisely by picking and choosing in the cash shop everything you want and not a pre-packaged set that you had to take?

    Same here (except I didnt collect my diamonds yet, was too concerned I wasnt going to get them all back. Plus I just didnt know what to spend them on. I wanted to play a wizard, so maybe next beta weekend, if Wizards are out, I will try then.

    I know the GM when he got on a few times stated as much, that many of the founders pack items were not in.

    Which btw, how come I don't get a "Hero of the North" title in my forum postings? :p Not to mention my Profile pic doesn't show up either. :(

    You'll get them all back. Multiple dev confirmations to that effect.

    As for what to spend them on; short-cutting companion training, and the auction house.

    Honestly I can't answer this and won't be able to answer until I have had time to play the game for more than a weekend. Until the game is in open beta I doubt I will be able to say for sure.
