Can I truly Solo any dungeons?

I have seen a lot of information about companions, but nothing specifically answering my questions. I only have assumptions:

I assume that I am never forced to summon a companion (but I dont know that). Any help with this is appreciated.

I also assume that I could eneter a dungeon solo and w/o a companion, but that if I did so it would not be wise. As the dungeons are all ballance for 5 people and do not scale to a 1 player challenge (but again I dont know this).

What I really want to know is can I enter a dungeon completely solo (no AI help or anything), and will it scale the difficulty level to 1 player? Or is that not a realistic objective based on dungeon design? Im thinking I would like something along the lines of DDO and choosing a difficulty.

Also if it is possible, is it possible for all dungeons, most dungeons or just a handfull?

Foundry: Can you make 100% solo dungeons? Specifically dungeons built around a class. Like for instance a Mage dungeon that focusses on utilizing crowd control to succede. Or a Rogue dungeon that focusses on stealth to succede?

From the video I have seen they say that most of the game is soloable if you want, but the instances are tuned for a 5man party, So my guess is nope, unless I am mistaken?

Events must be joined by a party, so these are not currently soloable. The rest of the quests seem to be.

Most stuff is solo-able. But some events and what they call Delves (5 man dungeons) are not. There was some tlak of possible larger group dungeons too but that will be after launch. You can make solo foundry mission as far as I am aware.

Yes, you are never forced to summon a companion. However, bear in mind that by not summoning a companion you are purposefully making things more difficult and reducing your potential. Companions are not a huge help, but they are handy.

Except for events and specific, major dungeons, like the Cloak Tower, every dungeon can be done solo. The ones that cannot explicitly force you to group.

Keep in mind that you get sent to "dungeons" often, if you use that as a catch-all basically any enclosed, instanced content. It is not like other MMORPGs where dungeons are uncommon, here you do one almost every level. They are part of the main story, not something optional you need to group up for. So far it seems the only ones you need to group up for are the conclusion of a storyline and can be skipped if you want. You can move on to another storyline and just never tie that one up.

    Thanks for the responses.

And yes Arythor, I did mean it as a catch all of any instance, so this gives me a lot of options.

And if the part about Solo Foundry content is true, then I have absolutely no reason to complain.

I actually plan to group up often, but only with friends. If they arent on, Id rather just solo. Thanks again.
