I understand this is a beta, so this isn't so much a complaint as an observation.
I'm playing a cleric and I just died for the 12th time due to rubberbanding into another group of mobs. The animations are completely messed up, and dodging doesn't work because you end up warping backwards, sidewise, etc... in a random direction. Abilities sometimes don't fire, and fail mid animation, or randomly go off seconds later when I'm facing the wrong way.
I'm getting times when I can't loot or interact with anything just to rubberband 50 yards away 20 seconds later.
I really hope this gets under control before release, because it is completely unplayable at the moment, and very frustrating.

check your internet connection, i have not had any major issues for me aside from one or two "server not responding times" but overall lag has been very minimized :-) check your firewall settings or what. it must be on your end.

There are things you can do on your side, minimize things running in the background eating up bandwidth, open ports, turn off virus software etc.
However, rubberbanding is an issue that seems to haunt every cryptic game. A simple google search for cryptic and rubberbanding will bare that out.
Champions Online- got into closed beta and loved it, bought the lifetime pack when it became available. After launch when the flood gates opened the game became unplayable due to rubberbanding. Tried going back several times and the issue was still there.
STO- Some rubberbanding on the earth spacedock and other high traffic open world areas, but the rest of the game is fine.
I suspect that the issue may be the character creator. More customization= more data that has to be thrown about. That works out fine on smaller maps or instanced areas (which most of STO takes place in) but can cause issues on open world maps (more like CO). Perhaps this issue explains the more limited character creator Neverwinter has.
Personally I'm experiencing the odd hiccup in the big town map, but the rest of the game runs without flaw.

Instanced dungeons do seem to be much better then the open questing areas. I run my machine in the DMZ, and on Windows 8 (No Antivirus) and Windows Firewall has exceptions.
I run many other online applications perfectly fine, so I doubt it is on my end. Besides the fact there are other people stating the same problems.
