Another Thing I really like - no perma-buffing

One thing that always annoyed me about Wow and all the Wow-clones was how the group stopped before every pull and re-buffed, removed poisons, cure diseases, etc... Was always so unrealistic. Not to mention a row of buffs with 1hr durations. The only buffs that should last even remotely close to that long are maybe a powerful blessing you got at a temple or something like that.

Poisons/Diseases and other debilitating effects - How RPGish are these if they do hardly any damage and can instantly be removed by a half dozen class abilities or inventories filled with potions immediately after the encounter. Yes, a cure poison draught or something to that effect but then don't have them so common everyone is carrying around 100 of them.

For example, I want a poison to be an annoying hinderance but last a realistic amount of time and make curing it not trivial.

Its ridiculous how many buffs a player in a 25-man raid in Wow has. Like 20+. Ridiculous.

Not only do you have no idea what you're talking about but I laughed my HAMSTER off at the below quote. Thanks.

Anytime you want to post some valid arguments to the contrary feel free. I've been running D&D campaigns since the early 1980's and have authored countless modules and campaigns.

NWN's 1 and 2. Every time you rest, you spend the next minute bathing yourself in a dozen buffs.

I don't need to. Anyone who's played WoW for more than 10 minutes or played any expansion past TBC is laughing at you right now. Seems like you're stuck in the past. Even if you did do the former, I can clearly tell you were awful at WoW just by the way you type. It's pretty hard to be awful at WoW. Do you have some sort of vendetta you are looking to fulfill?

The fact you said this makes me believe you're actually 15, and not 40. I don't think your mother would be happy if she found out spent $200 on a video game.

AC, sadly one of maybe 4 MMO's since Meridian 59 I haven't tried.. along with SWG and Lineage and FF. Not sure how I missed it.
