voice chat

hi all will there be a way to disabling voice chat im not really into voice chat on games id rather just type then talk :) thanks to any replys you give me :)

    Yes.

    When you log in after the patch screen with the "play" button, after the Cryptic logo screen, after the Neverwinter logo screen there will be an options tab in the lower right of the screen by the quit button.

    Then use the voice chat tab. Disable voice chat check box is right at the top. Check it, hit apply and you should be without voice chat.

    However, you may want to choose to just mute your mic as many players that are used to voice chat in thier games prefer that you can at least hear voice chat for various reasons.

    Voice chat also only works in groups, so if you avoid group dungeons, you won't have to deal with it.

    Question:

    I believe I overheard in one of the videos that Voice Chat has some advanced features like muting or adjusting single players in a group? Is that true? If so, thank you, much needed and I haven't seen it done yet.

    They have already showed it in MMORPG video that you can set individual volume for each party member, not just mute.

    This was mentioned in MMORPG's stream... so that's a solid yes I guess then.

    For what it's worth I wish they would of spent development time elsewhere instead of this. Most players use Vent, Mumble or Skype for their voice comms. Ohh well its here now, might as well support it.
