Ok so the other day, during a beta anxiety thread rant i tweeted asking about beta. Unfortunately he was to busy to reply however i have desided to post his most recent tweeet and you may take from it what you will.

Yh i agree if anything the best way to tes economy would be during beta to see what players would amass in terms of funds but lie you i would not like to speculate. I would want to be accused of starting one of those forum rumours, i'd imagine i might get robbed by a highway at sword point checking my extra dimensional bags of holding for a treasure trove of Beta keys.
uses? What does it mean, potion drop and uses? Maybe more potion drop as they include healing surges, and uses means to have cooldowns?
ID scrolls - identification scroll. So identification scrolls like in NWN are tere to identify items. Cool!
Well, that's raise dead scrolls and identification scrolls released. Let's see if we can find out anything else besides these healing potions. Yeah, all this talk of balancing is a VERY good sign IMHO!
Raise dead scrolls? Oh! They released info about that earlier I think.
Yeah balancing means things are in final stages before beta. And it means devs are not doing it under too much pressure but giving this part the time and patience it deserves.
I wonder if there will be other spell scrolls, or if wizards will be able to scribe scrolls?
And yeah, that was a very encouraging tweet.
Maybe the "potion drops and uses", is referring to number or uses. Single use, 5 use, 10 use etc. Makes sense when trying to figure out drop rates and values. If a potion can have multiple "charges", I would expect some type of cooldown on them to avoid the solo tank with 1000 healing potion problem.
I know Cryptic. Very unlikely based on their last two games and even going back historically. But we shall see.
Oh man. Tweaking end-game specific event UI. Foundry reviews. Content checkpoints. #Neverwinter
Social enviroment pass on Protector's Enclave. The Moonstone Mask, market, auction house! So many AWESOME places to hang out! #Neverwinter
Only new information which we didn't knew - but it is too cryptic for me.
pun intended.
ID Scrolls? This made my heart skip a beat. One of the more memorable things about the original NWN was using ID scrolls to identify magical loot. Not everybody "just knows" the new sword they picked up was a +5 Vorp. Sure, maybe the mage in the party new because he/she invested into Lore, but in general, party members didn't know until they had it examined in town, a party member with lore skill took a look, or you used a ID scroll.
Both these things add flavor to the game and I can't wait to see what else they are prepping for us! Every day I get more excited to see this game! The wait is getting harder!
Edit: What is next, sitting in chairs at taverns? (please)
I see what you did there
This is practically code for finishing preparations for the beta test, can't wait to see an official announcement.
While I love the RP aspect of this, I really don't think everyone's going to like it. Unless you're a mage/priest, EVERY time you pick up loot you have to find and pay someone to identify it, even if it's a completely useless PoS. I just hope they keep some basic traders who can identify for a low cost scattered about GENEROUSLY, not just in major towns/cities. Otherwise, we'll be leaving most of the price dealings to players who will abuse it. I know some will say that's unfair, but I want you to look into any MMO and find a useful service players can do that wasn't exploited. As long as they keep a good leash on this, I think it would be an awesome idea though. And if we CAN'T sit in taverns, then we---
Hmm, auction block. I do love the idea of a personal slave. I wonder if they come in different races, or just human.
Only in the Underdark
Slavery is banned in Neverwinter. The Neverwinter is not worth it for slavery because of all the factions being active there. Best place and route for human slaves from north is One of my campaign story is based on slavery around Calimshan so I kinda did a lot of research on this aspect of trade.
EDIT:- Route is one way. Slaves taken from north are sold in Calimshan.
Other is Thay way which is to convert them to undead for slavery.
Hey, we all know that although it might not come out at start, they will add the Underdark. I WILL have my gnome distraction slave. And since we're in the Underdark, I'm gonna see about getting one of those battle-captive spells. Nothing inspires loyalty like guaranteed death-threats.
Okay I'm not as great about the lore as others here are so correct me if I'm wrong.
I was under the impression that the Dragons in the Returned Abeir area had enslaved pretty much all the mortal races.
So there's likely a good slave trade in and out of that area as well, but it's only recently appeared on Toril, so maybe nothing much is written about it yet.
Craig wouldn't like it, really wouldn't, but having a meme showing her saying beta would start "Soon!"
"Beta-Beta, Sooon. Err.. I mean Arklem-Greeeethhh!"
Abeir has returned but only place Neverwwinter has access to in Abeir is Tymanther where Dragonborn had already freed themselves of slavery of dragons and formed an empire. So it does not affect Neverwinter.
Only Thay's undead slaves and that Efreet/Air genasi war slaves.
Most common method would be to have her kick a puppy or a cat. Almost everyone would be out for her blood.
(Please use good padding so it doesn't get hurt or we will end up hating you too)
If she stole tried to harm Fluffy she would die.
