It'll add a lot of longevity and fresh material to a game in a genre marked for its endless (and boring) grinding. And given that Dungeons & Dragons is ultimately about creating your own adventure, I think this is a perfect addition to the game's features.

One of the most attractive features of the original Neverwinter Nights was the Edit feature. Aftter playing the original content once, there were thousands of hours of good gaming using the modules created by the players. Neverwinter Online, by going on the same direction, is sure to surge to the top of the MMORPG list.

I had removed myself from the PnP and MMO worlds for the last several years due to schedule and well, boredom. I found out about NWO yesterday, which tells you just how far away I removed myself. From what I have looked at, which is now most of the videos and I am working my way through the forum, this looks awesome. From the perspective of a player and a possible content creator. The foundry looks wonderful. I watched the half hour walk through last night and I am thoroughly impressed. It seems easy to use and powerful, which are usually mutually exclusive concepts. I actually caught myself thinking up content concepts for the first time in years. Now, I just have to brush up on the 4th ed. I feel like a six year old on Christmas eve, jumping up and down protesting that I should be able to open a present early. Luckily, I am able to control my less refined instincts. I hope the Beta is going well and release will occur early in Q1. Thank you to the developers and those lucky enough to be in the Beta, it has been years since I was excited about a release.

That's awesome marenor and welcome to Neverwinter as well!

Out of curiosity (so maybe PWE/Cryptic people can figure out how to target those more casual gamers,) how did you find out about Neverwinter Online eventually anyway?

I searched mmorpg and the first site listed had a subentry Games list. I read the policies but I can not remember if listing outside sites is frowned upon or not, so I will let people run the search for themselves. Upon selecting the Games list I scanned the list for the highest rated game and that was NWO, from my quick scan. I played PnP for many years and through the name new immediately that it was a DnD based game, which immediately created the combination of excitement and dread that all DnD based games create for me and the research process began. Which has increased the excitement and removed the dread. This is the first game that has created the dreaded time vortex prior to being able to play the game. Wonder what will happen when I can play, hmm vacation scheduling may be important here.
