I wonder how saving throws will be implemented in NW. They are important in DDO which like (though I haven't played in a few years).
I don't like class balance and symmetry in rpgs. I know that some people will not like that some races and/or classes will have advantages in certain situations due to their better resistances, but I love the flavor it brings to D&D.
I hope Cryptic maintains this quality of D&D in a way that is meaningful.
Has anyone heard anything about this?

Since NW is being based on 4e, I would expect them to use that edition's approach to spell defense. In 4th Edition D&D, saving throws are no longer reactive rolls when targeted by a spell. Instead, they are incorporated as additional defensive stats that must be targeted and overcome.
So instead of rolling your +4 reflex to see if you can beat the Fireball's DC and receive half-damage, you might instead have a Reflex Defense of 14 that the fireball attack must beat before it can damage you.
Particularly potent abilities, such as Dailies, usually have a reduced effect that occurs even when you fail to overcome the targeted defense.

From what I could tell on the screen-shots and video, it appears we have some sort of Physical and magical defenses separate, but not 100% sure if it replaces the AC/Fort/Ref/Will based on what we've seen publicly. If anybody has any conclusive answers one way or another, do let us know your sources as specificly as possible and I'll update my info accordingly.
