so do we have any info on this yet? i cant find any. i just hope its not like 90% of f2p mmos, ya know so involved and complicated its worthless to use. or require you to purchase tons of vendor mats for a single item ala tera online where to make a single lategame sword you must purchase 750 sword hilts from a vendor.

nope, no info has been released yet on crafting. Some mentions about that crafting will be there in game but no details yet. There is a lot of missing info atm.

I'm preparing a long rant/suggestions thread about crafting in NWO, but I'mnot morally ready for it yet :D

But yeah, no info so far.

    Well, we can always speculate.

Go to ideas thread. Then go to the topic
    Class: Game Mechanics
in first post. The click three links in
    2. Crafting

Those are links to previous discussions on crafting, crafting related minigames etc. You can continue from there and extend that discussion by adding more to it.

Yeah also frustrated on the mention of crafting will be included but absolutely no info released...and a delay won't help this either for those looking for info currently.

Just saying, I feel rather negative about minigames in general, those are only fun the first few times but then become a chore. So no minigames, please (as per suggestions thread).

I generally hope that crafting be kept in line with DnD spirit and not be some arbitrary boring grind like most MMOs including DDO.

i prefer crafting systems where all required materials with the exceptions of potion bottles ofcourse can be gathered yourself and not require vendor items, it makes crafting for money HAMSTER hard when you have to pay 10g to make the item and the community has decided its only worth 10.5g

devs said that they are very exited with crafting system n game but marketing guys won't allow them to talk yet. So nudge the marketing guys to let them release more info :)

But it seems crafting system is something new and promising.

Well lets be honest... DDOs crafting isn't really crafting. Crafting is you have to harvest (those essences aren't harvesting) and one can use crafting to make profit and is generally fun. Cannith crafting requires a ridiculous amount of material for unbound shards that the cost isn't worth the reward unless helping out friends or guildies and my impression was a grindy highly unpleasant experience because it took so long to advance unless you got a HAMSTER load of plat.

Simple: Crafting should be simple, intuitive and explained at the very beginning of the game (first hour of play).

Equipment: There should be special items to craft along the way (novelty wear, sets, profession enhancing items, good equipment), along with the bog standard stuff.

Profession specialisation: Should be able to choose between different schools of the profession at higher levels (like in WOW: leatherworking specialises into Dragonscale, Elemental and Tribal).

End Game: It should be worth something end game, no matter which profession you choose.

Profession quests: Should have to journey around to meet masters of the craft, and perform epic taks to be deemed worthy of further training/gain profession enhancing items.

Tree abuse is no joke. Every day, tens of thousands of trees in the Minecraft world are punched or otherwise abused. While mentioned fondly, few people truly understand the reason behind the name of the "Weeping willow," (at the time of this posting, we still could not get the willow to press charges against her assulter.)

So please, remember abuse against a tree is the same as you being punched for "calcium resources."

    Just don't do it!

*Hides his willow bat behind his back*
Ahem... yes it should be stopped.

Now I need to mod minecraft so that if you punch people you get calcium supplements. Be a whole lot of punching in the minecraft old folks home. Like Highlander but with strong bones instead of immortality.

Oh! That is an age old way of currency circulation among orks. It works very well.
