There is one game thats D&D style I really loved but they made too many changes to that is censored int his forum but they made too many changes to the game that didnt make it as much fun anymore.
The major thing I liked over it having the traditional look of D&D as far as graphics and UI is it appears you do not have to have so many skills/skillbars that you can't see your character! That puts it above all the other MMO's out there just being able to see the character and not be jumbled up with 500 billion skills to choose from to use every possible key on keyboard which gets frustrating... Can't wait to test it out for beta

I personally believe, from the videos that they have shown, that it is quite a true implementation of pnp. Ofcourse, few elements needed changing but it is not a turn based game but action oriented. PnP is a simulation of real fantasy battles(though they are not real but I hope you get what I am saying), and this game goes closer to that simulation while maintaining the mechanics of 4e. That imo, is quite a creative feat. Regarding that the devs need pat on the back.
UI - It is more because of the 4e mechanics, though they have shortened that number too to keep it clutter free.

I aggre with u gillrmn, i played pnp since 3th edition and i always like to imagine combat as action combat. Pnp is turn base combat but as far i remember in 3th DM they tried to give us the feeling of action combat by saying each arround is about 6secs. So even if theres 20 characters (mobs and players) all their actions are done at the same time which into a MMO can be translate as an action combat game like cryptic did it and to be honest i rly think cryptic did an amazing job with combat.

Yeah from little I have seen based on being an online gamer for the last 20+ years this one has already gotten rid of a lot of the things I hate about standard things people have in these games today. The biggest one is the 400 billion skills that cover up your character to the point you cannot even see it LOL.

I have to agree here zuex. There was a NwN2 website dedicated to shaping your character build, feats and so forth.
By the time you cross indexed the possibilities with each numeric addition, the family tree of skills grew to an unimaginable bulk.
How this serves to portray even a wild fantasy version of anything practical just boggles the mind.
Making it too simplistic doesn't make sense though and I don't expect WotC, if they still have any influence at this point, to give in to a complete dumbing down of the tradition.
