Simple question. Will we be able to choose our race and class independently as in traditional D&D, or do the two go hand in hand a la Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance or Champions of Norrath. For instance, are all Fighters also Human, or can I be a Tiefling Fighter?
I agree that it would be odd. I found it incredibly odd when I came across it the first time upon picking up Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance on a whim because it had Baldur's Gate in the name. I wanted to be a half-elf Fighter and did not have the option. Oddness does not necessarily decrease likelihood, and that's why I'm worried given we've had no official word whatsoever. I Cryptic just assuming we know which way they're going?

BGDA was a stripped down D&D game designed for consoles; this being a PC game should not have the same problems.:D
