The original website with the 5 classes on it made me a bit suspicious.
I would suspect it to be more of the 4E Core just from how long they've been working on it (longer then Essentials has been released) and that the first Essentials rulebook only came with 4 classes (though it had 2 flavors of Fighter for 5 total builds).
But that would be interesting to hear about one way or another, how much the game is based on 4E Core and how much was pulled from 4E Essentials (have to admit, I prefer Core for most everything but the Essentials Mage/Wizard build is nice).
Yeah, I'm not actually that much of a comic book guy, and fantasy RPGs are really my core game so Cryptic doing D&D is something I'm sure to check out.
Now how do I trick the D&D guys to adding in kittens?

I highly doubt that will be possible since Wizards has some control when it comes to DnD games and they won't allow it.
I'd give that fight up buddy, Wizards of the Coast licensed that away to Kenzer & Co for Hackmaster long ago.
Edit; Oh, Hey Dardove!
