Winter Festival

So I logged on this evening to start the winter event, I usually bring 4 of my toons. I wasn't able to pick up the gift on more then 2 characters. Anyone else having this issue?

    It appears only 2 characters in an account can get free "Auril's Favour" which is new and we used to get one free Starlight parcel per character. For each character to earn Starlight parcel, you will need to do a daily quest.

    To summarize, the "new" Auril's Favour is 2 per account.
    Each character can get 'free' daily Starlight parcel by doing the daily quest.
    No more "easy" daily Starlight parcel for any character.

    Whoever came up with this change, may you only find coal in your Winter Festival stockings from now on.
    Edit: 1 Gift per Class, that would have been somewhat understandable, but only 2 for a whole account?!

    So to start off with, I am not a naturally negative person... but..... this decision to only give a gift to 2 toons is really the most miserly move I can think of. Winterfest is my favourite event and I look forward to it every year. Those gifts I felt were a nice thank you to the players. But now they've ruined Winterfest, seriously. I get it, you want us to shell out for the Snow Walker companion, but you could have done it without this move. Did they just want people to leave the game so they can shut it down? Yes, coal in your stocking!

    Day 2 now none of my characters can get an Auriel's Favor voucher. From zone chat it seems folk with older accounts are being impacted.

    My account is pretty old. It was created in 2014. I got my 2 vouchers of the day and exchanged for A. Favour minutes ago.

    Seems like its not on the usual daily reset timer. Someone else I know only opened one yesterday and could then only only one today. They didn't know you could open two per day. But can't open another on alt. So who knows how the heck they have this working now... if its a 24 hour time definitely going to be a bit miffed.

    I don't know if any of what I did matter but for the record.

    I have not opened any A. Favour. I only collected A. Favour from the GiftMaster. I had character A and character C received the A. Favour yesterday. Character A did the daily quest and got one Starlight Parcel. Character C did nothing. Today, character A and character B got the A. Favour's of today.

    i logged in last night and claimed my 2 auril’s favors but when I try to do that today…nothing. 😭

    It seems the new gifts are bugged. I was able to claim the 2 per account yesterday on my main and another toon, but now I cannot get the quest/coupon with any of my characters.

    4 different accounts used yesterday all at the same time.
    The first, 2 chars, I took yesterday 2 times today 0.
    The second, 2 chars, I took yesterday only at one (by mistake) and today I took it again but only at the same one I had already taken from yesterday.
    The third, again 2 chars, I took both yesterday and today on both chars.
    The fourth account, many chars, yesterday only taken on 2, today on none.
    It smells like a random bug.

    As for not being able to claim after reset, they may be tied to that stupid 20 hour (24?) cooldown timer.
    I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

    Well, if you buy the 12x Auril's Favoured for 800 ZEN, you only have to buy 10x packs for unlocking this new companion, and that's only if you can get all those 40 daily Auril's Favoured with your account before the event ends... 8000 ZEN for a mythic account-wide companion and some random worthless junk... yeah, i don't think that just a Coal in their stockings will be enough... this needs to be upgraded to a daily invitation to Krampus Schlapp for the whole time this event is going.

    + If they had added the daily Starlight Parcel to the daily Omen of the stars quest, and not put it behind some grind wall...
    + If they had invested some time into updating the Starlight Parcels...
    + If the companion had been the first Celestial account-wide one...
    + If they had added some additional daily rewards to the Winter Festival...
    + If they had calculated the total costs for getting this new companion around 4k ZEN...
    i might have considered buying Auril's Favoured for unlocking the companion right now.

    Not to forget the confusion created through setting the Auril's Favoured daily reset on a different time then the regular daily reset, which also might result in not getting Auri's Favoured on the last day of the event, because that reset is probably right inside the weekly maintenance window.
