Intermittent chat bug, Alliance chat, raid chat and queue chat ticket 287437

My characters occasionally lose alliance chat, raid chat and Queue chat, can't read it can't type in it though it lists on the chat bar I am in the chat channel. When I lose chat I have to zone into a new zone to get it back. The way I know I lost chat when not chatting is that the yellow messages display of the chat channels but alliance chat is not there.

It is random when I lose it, sometimes I go a couple days with out ever losing chat, some times I lose chat every couple minutes. I do not know how to make it happen sorry. It has been happening for a couple months now.

Ok so I lose connection for a fraction of a second and that causes me to lose the chat channels. But they should auto update.

As mentioned above, I only see this after a disconnect/internet drop. USUALLY after disconnecting while loading into a map.

In my case it happens with out me actually losing connection I have a momentary blip and chat is gone. Not sure if it is my service or what.

I lose chat.. try resetting to defaults.. do the forced patching and reboot PC.. No joy... You may be right about switching between zones... long long pause to load stronghold ... really painful to run with groups without chat.. Can see their chat but they can't see mine

Imagine when you also can't read their messeges ... and you get kicked for it from the random. Speaking from experience.
I usually getting this chat losing issue after a "Server not responding (timer)" error messege.
