Launcher Keeps Crashing

Every time I've tried logging into the game today, I get a crash notice with an incident ID tag.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

    I was fine 4 hours ago... then entered again... loader patched and

    perma error. Cant open the game

    Got the same issue but could play the game just 2 hours ago. But want to start again and then it patches some and now permant dead. Start with cryptic error dont even let me put in my password :o

    Indeed, I have infinite loop (30 mins ago the game was working fine):

    Just saw that launcher tried to reconnect 10 times and then this:


    Now tried to update launcher again, but after some time saw this error:

    Hmm i got it over steam and uses the link to NeverWinter.exe ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cryptic Studios\Neverwinter.exe") till you broke it.

    So i tried arc client and installed NW over there and now it patches the hell on earth in the already patched steam folder (why ever) but at least the launcher runs again from the link i used since years.

    So i guess you should provide a non broken exe for all others with that pain ...

    After 6 or 7 tries, including rebooting my comp twice, I've been able to play.
    I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

    Just started crashing on me now, was playing fine earlier.

    Thanks for the tip.
    I rebooted computer then patiently waited for the Laucher to do attempts and on the 6th attempt it worked.

    I had already rebooted, verify files, etc when i posted. Still crashing, guess I will reboot again :G

    It's been taking upwards of an hour for me to wait for the loop to stop. It has to go through 10 reconnect tries before the launcher loads.

    Great! I guess I still should not logout until the maintenance tomorrow (which will force me out).

    Unlucky me, I could not keep the program alive until the maintenance. The program crashed.
    So, I have to bring up the launcher.
    However, lucky me, it just comes up without any incident. No update (that I could see), no loop, no reboot.

    I have had quite a few crashes over the last few days. Always when transferring to another map. The music just goes "pffft" and screen goes black.
    Apparently pointing-out the bleeding obvious is a 'personal attack'.

    Now it happend to me too. Got lots of crash reports up right away. Restarted Launcher 5 times.
    Crash report 5664c2, 566d9,5664de, 5664e1,5664ed,..keept crashing.
    Checked task manager - saw hanging crash reporter jobs - killed em. Restart worked

    Same thing here. Can not play the game until launcher is fixed. Patch never finishes downloading.

    my launcher gets to about 3/4 loaded and sits there never moving forward until the screen goes white and wants to either close or wait. i have closed and retried 5 x i have rebooted my pc and still cant get in. guess i will be playing a different game until it works.

    The game client crashed again. Hence, I needed to bring up the launcher again. The launcher update dialog came up and needed to retry once before it came up for me to login.

    yep same issue here, it goes into a nearly endless cycle of patching, constantly reverting back to the full, 112 mb amount and then eventually crashes with a time out

    Strange enough - I can get in without issues now, but now when i exit the game, the launcher restarts automatically and beginns a patch. Then it hangs at 6% until I kill that process. Next start of launcher is normal without patch. My launcher settings are set to "disabled on demand patch". I dont dare to set "force verifiy" or change anything - as i expect the worst XD

    "The launcher restarts automatically and begins a patch" is normal when the new mod is coming in days. It is the pre-patch mechanism to soft the load of everyone downloading and patching at the same time when the new mod lands. Of course, hanging is not normal.

    Today it took me 30-40 mins to enter the game.
