Premade Trial queue party splitting bug

razor4lpharazor4lpha Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 89 Arc User
The parties will be split according to the players' place on the queue list:
1-5 -> first party
6-10 -> second party
regardless of their role.

If you invited the healers and tanks last (this happens a lot) you will end up with all of them in the same party, which can be a pretty annoying or painful thing - especially in Tiamat when one side will not have a tank/healer when teleported for the priest phase.

The game should make the parties with 1 heal, 1 tank, 3 dps for RTQ, there might be some sense in the current workings in private queues to keep the support in the same party for TOMM if the queue leader prefers, but it is a huge annoyance in RTQ as the queue leader has to kick and reinvite a lot of people to change the order and with that the party makeup.

    Hello @razor4lpha,

    It's working as intended, but Brett Norton replied for the related suggestion:

    Suggestion: Please let us sort 10-player queues without having to kick players.

    I completely agree. We have talked multiple patterns about trying to get a better queue group/trial/raid sorting mechanic. It’s something that has been on our list like “Can we do this”? Can we get the UI time and all the software time to improve that? It’s a bit of a heavyweight feature since the window that was originally constructed was not built to do flexible things. We want to, but it’s something very much on the software UI side.
    Recap of the Q&A with EP Brett Norton - March 2023

    Regards,
    That is only one approach to the problem - and while it would be even better for groups like mgzem or tomm, for premade random trial groups there is no good reason not to make proper parties out of the queued people, especially in Taiamat.
    As things currently go, basically every time we get the tanks in the queue last, then we have to kick 4-5 people and reinvite them, thats just bad .. if we don't do it, they will be teleported away several times in Tiamat, first in the priest phase, second time when the heads spawn.

    Working as intended when it causes PUG RTQ Raids to be completely unviable? Cop out answer.
